Darai's POV:
"What made you go into art?" I asked Ceal.
Ever since I met him at the museum, we've been hanging out a lot. Ceal hasn't gotten around to making that painting of the babies as of yet, because I didn't tell Drew about him. It's not like I'm hiding Ceal from Drew, I just haven't gotten around to it with mine and his busy schedule.
"I don't know," Ceal laughed. "I just started doing art and I liked it. It was a stress reliever and the next thing I know, people are asking to buy my art... I paint, sketch, and do digital media."
Ceal was very talented in my opinion. It takes a lot of time and patience to be an artist. A realist artist, at that! That is real talent. I wish I was that creative to be able to make art. I want to teach it, but I need to know more sbput art to be able to teach it to thers. One day I will learn. But for now, Ceal will be my artist!
"Wow... That's a lot of talent. You need to teach me so I can do my own." I joked.
"Art isn't necessarily taught. Art is felt. You have to really be passionate and it's a way of expressing yourself. Honestly, anyone can do art. It's done in many different forms." Ceal smiled at me.
I gave him a small smile back and sipped my tea. We were having lunch at a little cafe in the city area. The babies were with Maria and Raul while Drew was at work. That left me all alone, so I didn't pass up the opportunity when Ceal called to go out to lunch. I needed something to do, so why not hang out with a new friend?
"Thanks for inviting me out. I would've been bored at home all by myself."
"If you don't mind me asking, where are your kids? Or your husband?"
"My babies are with their nanny and my husband is at work. It was only me and I don't necessarily have any friends..." I trailed off.
It was hard not having any friends. Like, I don't have any girlfriends I can go to when I need someone to talk to. I only had Maria and Drew. I wish I had outside friends.
"Well... I'm your friend... Right?" Ceal looked at me with wide eyes.
I grinned up at him and clapped. "Of course we are!"
"Great! Now you can't say you dont have friends, because now you have me as your friend!"
We both chuckled at the same time. At that moment something felt off. I felt like I was being watched. Turning around slowly, I checked my surroundings to see no one was actually staring at me. Maybe it was my imagination.
"You okay, Darai?" Ceal asks me with a worried look on his face.
"No... Just felt like someone was staring at me."
He looks around for a moment to see if anyone had looked suspicious. "I don't see anyone looking odd. Maybe you're just a little paranoid. Is there someone stalking you or something?" He chuckled.
I hesitated for a moment... Should I tell Ceal about what has been happening? Maybe not. But, Ceal seems trustworthy. He wouldn't tell another soul. I think I could trust him.
"No one is stalking me," I started and took a big gulp. "Someone is stalking my husband though."
"...Wow... Did he have an affair or something? Crazy stalker who fell in love?"
I rolled my eyes at him and gave Ceal a frown. "No. He did not have an affair. We actually dont know who is stalking him, but it's getting out of hand. Whoever it is keeps leaving him notes, they trashed my car, and took my son."
Ceal's eyes widened. "What?! Thats fucking not cool. Kids are off limits like why would you do that?!"
I shrugged. How the hell would I know? We still weren't staying at the house which SUCKED. There's only so much you can take of a hotel room. Which made me feel even worse because I made Drew stay there for weeks on end.
