Life's Not Fair

We arrive at the hospital and I rush to get out of the car.
Just as I'm about to fling open the door, it jams.
I try pushing it so many times before asking Grandma Elena to help.
She chuckles.

"What's so funny?" I ask.
Nothing could be funny in this situation.

I swear to god if I don't get out in the next thirty seconds I'm gonna breakdown.
"Oh deary, I've left the child lock on!"
She wipes a tear from her cheek from laughing too much.

Ok that is funny but I can't find the motivation to even smile right now.

Elena does her thingy with the doors that I have no clue about and now I fling open the door and bolt it to the entrance of the hospital.

When we walk in there's not a lot of people in the waiting room but there's a pregnant lady, an old guy who won't stop coughing and a crying woman.

"Shit." I say under my breath so Elena doesn't hear me curse. She's talking to the person at the reception.

I think that's Linda Iero. I think to myself.
She doesn't know who I am but I'd feel so guilty if she saw me standing here.

I excuse myself to Elena and go to the hospital toilets.
I honestly can't bear to see Linda crying because of me.
She looked so helpless and heartbroken.

No shit Sherlock! Why? D'you think she'd be happy that her son's in a hospital because of a car accident and everyone at school? No wonder!

I move the top toilet lid down and take a seat to think about my life. How lucky I am to be alive and well.

It should be me in that bed and Frank at home right now, all warm in his room.
I should be the one sacrificing myself because of shitheads in my school. It's not fair.
Life's not fair.
--------------------------------------------------------HELLO!! Just a small chapter tonight. I look at these small chapters as updates on the stories. Basically when it's been longer than expected for a new chapter and there's things in my head that need to come out NOW otherwise I'll forget them :s
