Eridan stirred around one in the morning to realize he'd fallen asleep at his computer. He sat up and stretched, rubbing his eyes and looking around. He frowned, feeling like he was forgetting something as he stood up and poured himself a bowl of cereal. He turned around and froze when he saw a pair of mismatched blue and red eyes glowing in the dark, staring at him.
He relaxed slightly when he remembered it was just Sollux. He set his bowl down and came over, turning on the lights. Sollux was curled up by the door, no protection from the cold seeping in from the outside. He bent down and picked him up. He was shivering and his fur was freezing. The troll sneezed and Eridan jumped. Sollux looked up at him with tired eyes and he sighed, pulling the ill troll to his chest and carrying him to his room. Sollux looked around with wide, slightly fearful eyes and Eridan held him close.
He set the troll on his bed. Sollux blinked. "A-am I allowed to be up here...?" He asked tentatively.
"Of course."
He relaxed and crawled around a bit, struggling with the unstable mattress before managing to get to the head of the. Eridan and curled up underneath a corner of the blanket. Eridan changed into a large shirt and climbed in beside him. Sollux looked up at him and smiled."Thank you."
Eridan hugged him. "Of course."
