Mr. Vantas stood up. "Sollux Captor-Ampora, correct?"
Sollux nodded
"Where were you at the time of the shooting?"
"I had jutht left a coffee thop. I wath walking down Burb road when I ran into Vrithka. Thee athked if I wath holding up okay. I had thome reathon to athume thee'd been watching me, becauthe I got thome noteth and Vrithka joked about them a bit, but thee apologized."
Mr. Vantas pulled something out of his briefcase and handed it to Judge Pyrope.
"I thaid fine and thee athked if I wanted to meet her for dinner. I thaid thure and we thaid our gootbyeth. I thtarted down the thtreet and-"
There was an abrupt bang and he squeaked, falling out of the stand. He looked back to see a bullet embedded in the wood.
Panic ensued. People were running for the exits screaming. Sollux cried out as he felt someone grab him and pull him out of the area.
He looked up to see Vriska watching what was going on.
"Wh-why are you helping me?"
Vriska looked down. "Look, kid. I didn't shoot you. Although I intimidated you and Eridork, I didn't shoot you. However, I know who did and they were here today."
He gulped.
Him, ERidan, Cronus, Mr. Vantas, Vriska and Judge Pyrope stood off to the side as the court room was searched.
A gun was found
Fingerprints were tested
And his previous owners were arrested
Sollux clung to Eridan as they walked back to the car. Eridan gently rubbed his back.
