"Hey there." A pair of eyes flashed in the shadows once Karkat had left.
Sollux jumped. "Who'th there?!"
"Oh? Scared, are we?"
"N-no!" Sollux puffed out his chest.
"That's a shame." Another troll pet, fur combed wildly in different directions, stepped out of the shadows. "It's way more fun when they're scared."
Sollux yelped as Gamzee leapt at him and sunk his teeth into Sollux's leg. The attached pet squeaked in pain and tried to get away. Gamzee shook his head, digging his teeth further into Sollux's leg.
The door slammed open suddenly. "Gamzee! Drop him!"
The attacker released Sollux and the injured pet looked up as Eridan picked him up.
Sollux hiccuped and tears spilled onto his cheeks. Eridan cradled him, shushing him gently as Karkat ran to get first aid stuff.
"ED I wanna go home..." Sollux whimpered.
"Kar is gettin' some stuff to treat that bite of yours."
"It doethn't hurt can we go home now?"
Eridan poked the bite mark earning a squeal of pain from Sollux. "No."
Karkat hurried back and patched up Sollux's leg.
"Sorry 'bout all this Kar."
"Fuck yeah you are," he snapped back, earning an eye roll from Eridan.
