[A'N: Brace yourself with maturity.]
"So why did you call this your secret HQ?" I asked as we walked back inside the house.
"Maybe because this is the only place I go to when everything's a bit too much," he answered as he opened the door for me.
I mouthed a thank you as I passed him by and waited for him to close it behind him before walking towards the couch.
I looked outside and saw a roof with a chimney where smoke was coming out from.
"Is that where Mr. and Mrs. Hunt lives?" I asked, pointing towards it with my thumb.
He nodded.
"So why did you take me here?"
"You said you were going to think some things through. I thought maybe you'd be able to think better at a place like this."
I felt one of my brows raise at his answer.
He can just let me think at home, why did he have to bring me here?
"What were you even thinking about? Maybe I can help," he said, breaking the short silence I've caused.
I ran all my fingers through my hair and collected them in one hand before brushing them aside.
Should I tell him? I thought, as I bit my lip and studied his face.
Nothing much of an expression was plastered on his face, except those steel blue searching eyes of his.
"Are you thinking of resigning?" he asked and I immediately shook my head.
"No!" I managed to say after a few seconds of head shake. "Why would you even think of that? I'm not going to resign. I'm not going to leave you hanging like that!"
My employer slowly nodded and looked away for a while, letting silence take over.
Why would he even think of that? I didn't even say anything about leaving. Is he thinking maybe I wanna leave because of the kissing incident?
I decided to tell him that it didn't bother me.
"If you're thinking about the kissing incident with Andres," I spoke and he faced me once more. "I'm not bothered by that—well, yes, I was taken by surprise, but I'm not gonna bail just because of a stolen kiss."
"I know the kiss won't make you leave" he said after and my head tilted to the side as my brows furrowed.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"You didn't kiss him back," he answered and I straightened my back.
"You..." I scratched my temple. "You saw the whole thing?"
He nodded in response.
So he was there the whole time? Why did he let him kiss me then? Was he trying to prove something?
"I know you like him but you don't like him that much" he lightly shrugged.
"And you can tell all that just because you saw that I didn't kiss him back," I raised my brows.
"I know how to read people too, Ms. Blancaflor," he smirked and cocked a brow up. "And we've been living together for months. I would be such a moron not to know a lot of things about you by now."
"Hmm" I smirked. "Tell me something I don't know."
"You look at me when you think I'm not looking."

Romance"I'd rather die with the secret than share it" I answered and noticed how his face lightened. It must've been because of the change of my tone. "I wouldn't consider working for someone who I don't think I could be loyal to." "Good" he sat up and did...
