"Desi would you like some food?" I look up from the metal table I had focused on while I was telling my story."No thank you." I clear my throat.
"Well here, it's time for you to take your medication." She hands me some water and a blue pill.
I hated taking pills so I through it in my mouth and washed it down with water as quickly as I could.
"Do I continue?" I ask as I felt emotions coming back from the memory.
"Of course." She replies.

The rest of the day I fought the voices like I try to do every single day of my life.
I walked through the door to my home slamming my backpack on my couch. I look up seeing my Mother dressed professionally and smiling.
"What?" I ask curious, it's not every day my Mother looked at me smiling.
"You ready? Desi, I told you I was going to make you an appointment, we need to get going now or were going to be late." She says avoiding my eyes once again and grabbing the car keys off the coffee table.
"Don't go." The voices say without laughing, meaning they were serious.
"I have to." I say aloud causing my Mother to give me a scared look as she walks out the door.
"You'll regret it." They laugh as I slam the door behind me. I shake my head trying to ignore them. I get in the car and turn up the radio as my Mother begins to drive.
On the drive I started to regret getting in the car, I was scared of them, the voices, what did they have planned?
I was fifteen and I was hearing voices, I was insane, how have I dealt with this?
