-Artemis POV-
After waking up in Annabelle's bed I become very confused. Like so very confused. I swear I remember going to bed on the couch with her on my chest. I go down the stairs to see she was still passed out on the couch, which made absolutely no sense to why I was in her bed.
"Hey honey, wake up" I say softly shaking her. She stirs a little before opening those beautiful eyes that made me smile.
"Morning" she mumbles wiping her eyes and giving a little stretch.
"How exactly did I end up in your bed last night" I ask helping her off the couch and follow her to the kitchen. She was in a t-shirt and no pants and I don't think I'll be able to fight this boner off forever.
"I put you there" she states simply like it's no big deal.
"Did you carry me" I ask a little afraid to hear the answer.
"Not really you were like half asleep, but still pretty heavy. I mean you are all muscle" she laughs. I felt a little bit better that she didn't have to carry me but felt pretty bad she slept on the couch when I was in her comfy bed.
"I would have been fine on the couch" I mention as she pulls things out for breakfast.
"Yeah but you are better if you sleep in the bed. One of us here is a professional hockey player" she says cracking eggs in a pan.
"I would have liked it better if you were in the bed next to me" I say slowly trying to read her. She slowly turns around and pulls a smirk on her perfect pink lips.
"I thought about it but I wasn't sure if you would be okay with it" she says tending to the eggs once again.
"Why wouldn't I" I wonder as she shrugs.
"I don't know, I just can't assume things about you because I want something. That's not how I work, I want to make sure you were okay with it first" she says finishing up the eggs then pouring pancake mix into the pan.
"That's very considerate of you but for the record, I would love to sleep with you" I say with a wink earning a giggle.
"That's noted" she mentions flipping a pancake.
We spend the rest of the morning enjoying the delicious breakfast she made and lounging around. There was a knock on the door and she gets up to answer it and I follow because I have nothing better to do. She opens the door as her parents stand there.
"Oh. Hey mom, dad" she says seeming just a bit shocked.
"Hey sweetie, Artemi" her mom says moving her smile from Annabelle to me.
"Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Davis" I say with a smile. I enjoyed their company, they were so funny.
"Please call me Daria, don't need people to think I'm still married to this bafoon" she says pointing to her ex-husband. He puts his hand over his heart and acts like he's hurt. She just laughs and rolls her eyes as Annabelle lets them in, still having trouble grasping this whole tough love thing going on in this family.
"How have you two been" Vincent asks sitting on the couch.
"We've been well" she answers sitting next to me and placing her hand on my thigh. We've been together for over a month and her touch was still enough to make me go crazy.
"Why are you guys here exactly. I can never get you two in the same room unless it's a holiday or if Tyler is here" she says.
"I forget how intelligent you are sometimes" her mom laughs.
