"Did I do something wrong?" I asked nervously. The man smiled before replying. "No, you didn't do anything wrong. But somebody did. My name is Riley Carter and I am your new head of security!"
"Excuse me?!" I asked shocked. I already had my own security. His name was John. Not Riley. And he was 40 not mid 20's. "Where's John? There must be a mistake."
"You see that fire at your house was no accident. It was on purpose and I have been assigned to protect you. John is on indefinite leave."
"Wait... Are you by any chance related to Savannah? Savannah Carter?" I asked, curiosity building inside me. They looked similar. Brown, almost black hair, blue eyes and a very structured jawline.
"I was wondering when you were gonna ask but yeah I'm her older brother." Riley smiled tightly.
"Do you know where she is? I can't get a hold of her. She left without saying anything and I really need-"
"You can't contact her." Riley interrupted.
"Oh!" I said a bit disappointed. "Why not?"
"For your safety."
"Answer a question for me?" I asked.
"Mhmm?"
"Is she secret service too?"
"I'm afraid so kiddo." Riley said sympathetically. I nodded. I mean what else could I do?

I was pacing the room angrily. How could she do this to me? I desperately wanted to throw the crystal flower vase but I didn't in case the agents outside thought I was in danger. I sat down on the recliner and looked out the window. There was a knock on the door and then a blonde, blue eyed nurse walked in. I instantly recognized her as Savannah. My brown haired, blue eyed Savannah.
"How the hell did you get in?!" I shouted jumping from my seat. "And how dare you lie to me? I loved you and you took advantage of that! You used me! How could you?" I whispered in the end.
"You done?" she asked leaning coolly against the door. I nodded a 'yes.' "Firstly, in case you haven't already noticed, this is a hospital full of spies. And I am a spy. So I am allowed in. Obviously I don't look like this but if I dressed up as Agent Savannah Carter I probably would've been tasered.
Secondly, I lied to protect you but obviously that didn't work. And thirdly, I never used you. I love you. Always will. The only reason I broke into this hospital was so that I could see you and so that you could tell me everything about the day of the incident. Don't leave out anything. Got it?"
I nodded. She took a deep breath and said one word that made me gulp and answer her: "Shoot."
