My nightmares have come less since we met.

My dreams are mostly plagued with regrets and guilt,

But now there's dreams of you and your smiling face.

We spent the whole day in your bed yesterday,

Watching TV and simply talking about anything and everything.

We spent some hours just simply in silence,

Hands intertwined,

Breathing the same air from our faces being so close.

Lips swollen from minutes of nonstop make outs.

We ignored our phones that rang nonstop the whole day.

Just focusing on each other,

Just seeing each other.

I could stay like this forever,

But there's no such thing as forever

I have to go to work today,

You tell me not to,

But I want to.

I want to move on from my past.

You know,

You see it in my eyes.

Reluctantly,

You let me get ready and watch as I change into the clothes you lent me for work.

When I finish you get up and grab your keys.

"I'll walk you since it's not so far... "

I nod and we leave your apartment.

As we walk down the sidewalk,

You hold my hand tightly in your own.

I stare at you as you look around and talk about the heavens know what.

I watch as your lips move,

So soft and plump looking.

It takes me awhile to notice you've stopped talking and are now staring at me with a small smirk.

I feel my face redden and I look away as we stop at a crosswalk.

I hear you laugh before I feel your fingers grab my chin gently and lift my face to look at you.

I catch you gaze and, as always, I lose my breath.

You look away as you lead me across the crosswalk once we're allowed to and I trail Behind slightly.

I watch your back and memorize every feature I can lay my eyes on.

How your arm flexes when you tighten your hold on my hand.

How your hair gently floats in the wind.

The sun shining on your face,

Making you brighter than you originally are.

I don't notice you had stopped until I bump right into your back.

I rub my forehead as I stumble back as you let out a laugh when you turn around.

I pout at you as you cup my cheeks and lean down placig a small kiss upon my lips.

I feel my face redden at such a public display o affection and look down just as you let my face go.
