"i don't see what the problem is. you're about to be the last eligible man in new york. you know, there's three and a half million women here." bucky spoke confidently as he led his two best friends to the two girls waiting for them.

juliet rolled her eyes at his statement, looking at steve for his response. "hell, i'd settle for just one."

juliet smiled down at steve, also straightening out her dress and coat. her long brown hair cascaded in loose waves down her chest and her back, framing her face and body very nicely. she couldn't help, but feel extremely confident in how she looked for the expo.

"good thing i took care of that." bucky responded, waving to the two girls who had noticed him. juliet immediately recognized connie, who looked ever-so beautiful in her poodle-dress. juliet couldn't help but start to feel a little insecure when compared to connie. she looked to connie's left, and noticed a beautiful blonde who was flirtatiously smiling and waving at bucky. juliet assumed this was steve's date.

"what'd you tell her about me?" steve questioned as he struggled to keep up with bucky's long strides.

"only the good stuff." bucky responded with a smile, as he greeted connie with a tight embrace. juliet started to lag behind as she couldn't help but feel excluded on this double date. she knew it was selfish of her to get jealous when they had friends that weren't her, but she couldn't help it. steve and bucky were her only constants, and she wasn't ready to lose them both.

just as she was about to come to a stop, she noticed steve turn around to check on her. he noticed her melancholic expression, and he walked back towards her. juliet looked up at him, and apologized. "i'm sorry, steve, i'm just bringing the whole mood down."

"no, come on, jules. if you're not happy here, we'll leave. it's bucky's last night here, and he wouldn't want to spend it without you." steve comforted, his blue eyes softly looking up at her hazel ones.

"thanks, steve." she sniffled and softly smiled to him. she then looked up at bucky, and noticed him watching her and steve's exchange, with clear concern etched onto his face. his arm was wrapped around connie's shoulders, and she was giggling into his chest, but he still continued to watch juliet and steve. she reassuringly smiled at bucky, before turning to steve and slightly shoving him towards the blonde who was his date.

"come on, now, steve, you're supposed to be on a date." she playfully winked at him. he chuckled, and approached the blonde, who seemed to just now take notice of steve.

juliet lagged behind the two pairs as they walked around the exposition. having no one to talk to, she was bored out of her mind, however she didn't mind being there as support for bucky and steve. her eyes trailed across the scenery of the expo, when it landed on a very familiar face.

"howard!" she yelled towards him. he turned around almost immediately, and he looked as handsome as ever. when he noticed it was juliet who had called him, he approached her, excitement written on his attractive features.

"jules! what are you doing sulking in the shadows? the show's just getting started!" he embraced her very warmly, and she laughed at his cheekiness.
