Undertale: Darkness Within

Chapter 5

I wake up with a groan, blinking bit, I see nothing but darkness. I look around the area as I try to find out where I was, but I can not see anything....

But a dark hallway.....

"Oh boy" I said with a groan, rubbing my head. "Not this crap again." I said as I look around the hallway and begin to wall down it, having a sneaky feeling as to where it ends. I felt like I walked for hours before I ended up at a metal door. I took a deep breath before putting my hand on the doorknob and I twist it open, walking intoa single room with only a single light source, hanging above a shadowy mass. I walk up to it and the shape began to form into a being. What shocked me, is that it took on the same form as me. with it's left eye socket glowing red.

I Frown, my left eye flaring blue as I get ready to attack. However, before I could release an attack, the creature holds up hits hand, the shadow chuckles maniacally.

"Easy Sans" It said with a dark, deep tone. "I did not bring you hear to kill you yet." It said as it grins with it's sharp red teeth. As it stood their, it was like it could barely keep it's form, like those creatures that Alphys had under her lap at one point.

"So you do plan on killing me" I said, keeping my eye flaring blue, I did not trust this bastard, at all

"Of course, all things must die and return to darkness, as it is the way life is" It said with a shrug, keeping its grin. "I'm just speeding the process up"

"And why is that?" I asked, glaring at the darkness.

"Because this world is corrupt. Humans have been terrorizing not only monsters, but each other for the longest time. Their hatred, Pride, Laziness has escalated to new heights and it's time to rid the world of them all" It said, glaring angrily at me, the stare is familiar, into just because of my face on him, but because of hatred in their red eye.

"So why tell me? you know I am going to try and stop you, so what is the purpose of bringing me here?" I asked, my eye finally dying down and going back to normal. But I blink as I hear the creature laugh.

"Oh Sans, you must know by now that you have no chance in beating me." The Dark Creature grins and shrugs in a way that I would, which makes my stomach turn. "you may not know about it, but we have done this song and dance before, and I. Always. Win. I'm only telling you because it is oh so much fun watching you struggle to find a way to defeat me, to kill me, to send me away, but always fails, and you watch the ones you love die in front of you....over.....and over.....and over....again."

My eye flashed blue but before I could do anything, the creature was upon me in a blink of an eye and it grabs my skull, making my eye widen in fear. "Just wait a bit. Enjoy the time you spend with your friends and family, but just know that I WILL destroy this world, and you wont be able to stop me." With it's sickening grin, it snaps it's fingers, and everything fades back to black.

Next thing I knew I shot out of my bed away gasping and panting for air, placing my hand where the Creature once had his. It took me five minutes before I could even pull my hand away, I looked down at my hand and I could see that I was still shook up by that darkness. That thing scared me, shook up to the bone....heh...I make puns even when I don't try to....but all puns aside, I hate to admit it, but It's right, I don't stand a chance against that thing. It had so much LV that it made Chara look like Frisk.

I took a deep, shaky breath and I look down at my clock and blinked a bit. 10:00 am? Doesnt Pap usually wake me up by 9? I slowly got out of bed and I moved out of my room. I go and I open the door to Papyrus' room and I look in only to see him not in his bed, or room. I walked downstairs and I didn't smell any spaghetti, so I ruled out he wasn't in the kitchen. I looked around the living room and I didnt see him anywhere. It was then I get an alert on my phone that makes me jump halfway up off of the floor. I clutch the area of my chest where my soul was and I took a couple of deep breath. Jeeze did the Creature shock me that much that every freakin sound will have me on edge? I walk over to where my phone was, which was on the table by the door on the charger. I grab it and I look at it, seeing a text from, low and behold, Papyrus.

-BROTHER, I WENT OUT WITH METTATON TO APPEAR ON HIS COOKING SHOW. I WILL BE HOME LATE TONIGHT SO YOU WILL HAVE TO FEND FOR YOURSELF.-

I sigh and put on a small smile and I Sent a quick -K- as a reply before sitting on the couch and going through my notifications. I blink a bit as I hear a knock on the door. I get up and I open it to see Frisk standing there. I blinked a few times but motioned for her to come inside since it was still cold and snowing a bit. I close the door once she was in and I smiled softly as I see her wear not only the sweater Muffet made her, but the Scarf I gave her as well.

"Sup kid? whatcha doing over here today? another shopping trip?" I ask with a chuckle.

Frisk was silent, but turned to look at me with her beautiful Blue eyes, worried written all over them. I tilt my head in confusion as I wondered what she was thinking about.

"Frisk? whats wrong? did something happen?" I asked. My grin turning into a frown. Did that damn creature do something to her? Because if it did, I swear to God, I don't care how much LV it has, I will--

My though process was gone as frisk grabs me, pulls me close to her and slaps her lips on top of mine. My own eye socket were as wide as dinner plates for a few second before I eventually closed them and returned the kiss. wrapping my arms around her as we kissed. Once air called for the both of us, we broke the kiss and begin to pant softly. I chuckled quietly and placed my forehead on hers.

"You sure know how to take the breath out of me, don't ya babe?" I said softly to her, causing her to finally giggle.

"Sans." She said, a small frown appeared on her face. "What happened last night? Papyrus found you knocked out could in the middle of a Street. He was worried because you ever came home last night, around 2 am, he got so worried that he went out, frantically search for you. He found you and you had the most grim look on your face, like you were having a nightmare. He already promised Mettaton to appear on his show so he asked me to come and check on you." She said while rubbing my cheek bone gently with her thumb.

I lean my head into her hand more and placed my hand on top of hers. I look her in the eyes and smiled softly. "I guess I had a little too much to drink and passed out because of it. Yeah, I had another one of those nightmares. It's strange, this creature turned into a form that looked just like me and begin to explain how he is here to destroy everything and return it to darkness. How I have tried to stop him before but always failed. what scares me is, I think he is right. I saw his LV and it is way higher than anything I have ever seen before. It scared me, no joke. But that doesn't mean I am going to stop trying to fight it. If it wants to those I love.."

"Then he will be in for a bad time" Frisk said with a smile, holding me close. "This time though, you won't be alone, you will have me and everyone else, just don't try and fight this thing alone. Promise me. okay?" She said, worriedly. I can't blame her though, I do tend to hold a lot to myself and tend to try and figure things out by myself. However, I know for a fact, this creature is too big for me. It maybe to big for all of us, but I wont give up too easily. As long as I have the angel in my arms, then everything will work out.

"I promise babe, and you know I hate making promises" I said with a smile before leaning in and sealing the deal with another kiss.
