Undertale: Darkness Within

Chapter 15

Apparently I was more injured than I thought.....

After hugging on to Frisk for a bit, I started getting pains in my arms and ribs, not to mention all the blood I had lost made me feel dizzy, Frisk had to carry me back to the manor where everyone was. Asgore and Toriel was still there, their fur was a bit roughed up and they had a few cuts but they were the best of the group. Toriel rushes over and hugs Frisk tightly, crying about how worried she was and how she wasn't letting her go any time soon, which was bad for me for I ended up being knocked down to the ground, jarring my wounds.....

Yeah ow.....

Asgore picks me up carefully and carries me to the Ambulance that was right outside. Since there were both humans and monsters here, they had doctors looking at everyone, Alphys doing what she could to help everyone around.

Papyrus wasn't too bad, besides a few cracks in his bones which will heal over time, as well as some magic drained, he was fine and just needed rest

Toriel as a few cuts on her but came out the best out of all the fighters for most of the enemies couldn't even get near here with her flames. A few bandages later and she was good as new.

Asgore was a bit worse, he had dents in his armor and one of his hands was badly bruised for blocking an attack with it and he had a few cuts here and there as well but he was a tough old goat and it would take more than that to bring him down.

I was pretty beaten up. Besides cuts all over my body I had a gaping hole in my shoulder that had to be stitched closed, a few of my ribs were broken too from the man's kicks as my skull had a small fracture that would heal over time, but I was to be watched for because I had a concussion and if I fell asleep I might fall into a coma. So yeah not fun...

However....I pale into comparison to Undyne....

Alphys never left her side. She was feeding Undyne as much magic as she could as she tries to heal her. Besides the gaping hole in her stomach, Undyne was beaten and bruised like a battered fish. She arms was cracks in many different directions, she had deep cuts all over her body and her magic was reacting like it should of. It seemed like she took a lot of damage while fighting in that force field and even with Papyrus' help, she took most of the damage, the humans seeing her much more of a threat but it seemed like Pap showed them up after Undyne ran to help us....

Some doctors said she might not even survive the night....

But I believe in Undyne and I believe she will pull through, she is tougher than she looks. When the Brat took control of Frisk those years ago, she was the only person who gave them trouble while the others didn't put up much of a fight. Besides me I mean. But I still felt incredibly guilty. That knife was suppose to be for me, I should be on the death bed, not her.

I don't know when exactly I passed out, but all I remember is waking up in a hospital bed. I guess I just can't help myself but fall asleep, old habits die hard I guess. I turn my head over to see Frisk sleeping next to me. She was sitting in a chair and her head was resting on the bed, she looked more of a pro at sleeping than I did. I couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle. I moved to try and get up but the pain all over my torso area was so bad that I actually stopped and took a deep breath.

The movement woke Frisk up. I felt her stir in the bed before her eyes open up. She blinks the sleepiness out of her eyes before rubbing them to get the sand out of her eyes. She looks up and sees me away. She smiles gently and she moves to run my cheek. "It's good to see you are awake Sans. You scared us all by just passing out like you did." She said, you could practically hear how exhausted she was. She must of stayed up to watch over me for Lord knows how long. Damn, I love this girl but she really needs to learn to take care of herself too.

"How long was I out?" I asked as I look around the room for some sort of device that could tell time. My eyes catch the clock on the wall and I squint my eyes to see the time. 11:31 am by what the bright green lights say.

"Of couple of hours" Frisk said waking up a bit more, sitting up to look at me. "You just suddenly passed out and you wouldn't wake up, had to get Dad to hold back Papyrus before he damaged you or him even more" she said with a smile.

I couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle before wincing. Laughing hurts. Good to know. "How is he doing?" I asked, Papyrus was tough but sometimes he was too nice for his own good.

"Besides driving himself insane with worry over you, he's fine, just s little banged up. Are you sure you are the older brother?" Frisks asks with a smile.

I smile and I give a small shrug. "I was born first so yes, I believe so.....what about Undyne? She was pretty banged up from what I remember." I asked, looking over at Frisk.

Frisk frowns as she grips her knees. "Undyne.....is....she is not doing so well....." She asks, letting out a sigh while a couple for years appear in the corner of her eyes.

My eyes widen as I grit my teeth. I grab the blanket over me and I toss it off. I grab the IV stand and force my body up. Gritting my teeth as my ribs and stitched wounds scream for me to stop.

"Sans stop!" Frisk said as she tries to lay me back down. "You need your rest!"

"Let me go to her Frisk, I need to see her." I told her as I gently grab her hand and I move it before heading to the door, opening it and walking down the halls, holding onto the IV stand to keep me up.

Frisk lets out a huff before moving to help me. "Here, you don't know where she is, at least let me help you, bonehead." She said with a small smile and she leads me down the halls, I smile gently at her, kissing her cheek as she helps me down the halls.

"Well I guess this is what you get for dating such a bonehead huh?" I said, causing her to giggle a bit as she leads me down the white halls.

It took about 10 minutes. Before we ended up in a emergency room. The doctors had turn into the night, the only person that was still there besides Undyne and ourselves is Alphys. Who was asleep on the side of the bed. I walk over to the Bed, taking it easy as Frisk moves to gently put a blanket over Alphys. I smile at the two before turning to Undyne. She was weak and still had the hole in her chest as she had an IV of magic being flowed into her. I let out a sigh as I look over the hole frowning as I just thought that wound should of been for me, why did Undyne take the blow when she was already so injured. I let out a sigh before gritting my teeth.

"Why are you looking so sad punk...."

My eyes widen as I look down at Undyne, her one eye was open and she give me a small grin. "What's wrong? Looks like you've seen a ghost...you lazy bones...."

"Undyne..." I said softly. Before biting my lip. "Why? Why did you take the blade for me? You wouldn't be in this position if you hadn't taken that for me...." I asked her. "Of you just let him hit me you wouldn't be...."

"Sans...." she said with a grin. "You're my friend....of course I would of taken the blade for you, plus, you make Frisk happy, if she lost you then I'm afraid of what would happen....." she said, coughing a bit before smiling. "Besides, look at yourself....."

I look up at the mirror on the door, my eyes widening. My left eye was glowing in a blue flame, as I could feel magic coursing through my body. My guess is when I saw Undyne getting hit, it kickstarted my powers again, my friends.....

They are my power....

Sans turns back to her and Undyne smiles gently, her body cracking all over. Frisk and Alphys watching with horror. Undyne grabs one of my hands and Alphys hand with another. "I leave the rest to you guys, kick the Purge's and this damn Monster's ass. You are the hope of our race, don't let me down....it's going to take a lot more than THIS to slow you guys down....." she said as her body begins to fade in color, she turns to Alphys and smiles. "I love ya....my nerdy doctor....take care...." she said....

Before her body turns to dust in our hands....
