As soon as I saw him I felt like I was going to cry. I knew we had only known each other a little while but I hadn't expected him to lie. Maya turned to me to ask me a question. When she saw my face she knew that something was wrong. She grabbed my arm and pulled me to the nearest table.

"What happened?" She asked looking around.

"I saw him. With a group of girls." I said trying so hard to keep my tears from rolling down my cheeks.

"And by him do you mean Dalton? The guy who said he had work stuff to do all day?" She asked starting to get mad. I just nodded because if I said anything else I might break down.

"Which way did he go? No guy can lie to my friend about being busy then get away with it. I'm going to give him a piece of my mind." She said starting to get frustrated. I pointed in the direction he had gone and she began to speed walk in that direction. I had to run to catch up to her. When I caught up to her I gave her a grateful smile. But her eyes were searching the crowd for a boy with blonde hair. I spotted him with a big crowd of girls and a couple of guys. They were just a bit in front of us. I didn't really want to point them out because there might have been a good reason why he had lied. But I turned to face Maya and saw in her eyes that she had seen them. She looked ready to kill someone. She began marching over towards them when a big group of people came and just barged right in front of us. They had come out of nowhere. As soon as the crowd had parted they had disapeared. When Maya realized they were no longer in view she looked even more frustrated.

"I'm so sorry Morgan." She said looking at me.

"It's okay. We barely knew each other we met yesterday. I shouldn't care."

"Alright, but are you still going to go out with him?"

"I don't know. Maybe he had a really good reason to lie. Maybe he was on break. I would like to get to know him better before I judge him."

"Well, you are a lot nicer than me. I would have called him on his cell phone right this minute and told him I say him." I looked at my phone and contemplated calling him. I shook my head and put my phone back in my purse.

"Come on, I'm not really hungry anymore. Let's do some shopping." Maya smiled at me.

"Do you want to go to Forever 21 first?" Asked Maya. She may have a slight addiction to that store.

"Sure. That's actually the one store I didn't go to yesterday." We walked to Forever 21 and walked into the vast store. We split up to search the store because of our completely different styles. I began walking around not really looking for anything when I saw it. The most beautiful dress I had ever seen. It was a cobalt blue sleeveless dress with a gold belt. I grabbed it and pratically ran to the dressing room. I could not wait to try it on. When I stepepd out of the change room with the dress on I could hardly recognize myself. It was the most flattering dress ever. I felt so obsessed with myself because I stood there for like five minutes just twirling in front of the mirror. When the sales clerk walked by she stopped.

"Wow, you look really good in that dress." Said the clerk.

"Thank you." I said blushing. After she walked away I got back into the change room and got back into my normal clothes. I was dreading the moment of truth. The one where I checked the price. It was 24.99$ down from 34.99$. I sighed in relief. I had finally found an article of clothing that I loved and could afford.  I started to walk around looking for Maya. I found her inspecting the jewelry. The fact that she had no clothes in her hands shocked me.

"Are you feeling okay? I asked jokingly. " You have no clothes to try on."

"I looked around and couldn't find anything I liked. I'm not really in the shopping mood anymore, beacuse I keep thinking I'm going to see him, then go up to him and just yell at him."

"Me neither but I found this awesome dress on sale so I'm going to go pay for it then we can decide what to do.

"Okay let's go. I don't know about you but I'm kinda in the mood to go see a movie actually."

" Oh, yeah, that sounds great I still haven't seen the new Thor movie yet. Ethan says it's good."

"Okay then it's settled. While you go pay I'll check the movie times." I nodded and walked to the cash. I went straight up to the cashier and payed with my debit card. When I came back to Maya she had an unhappy look on her face.

"I just checked a bunch of theaters all of the showings have already passed."

"That sucks. How about we go to my house and watch the avengers?" I asked. It was the closest movie we had to Thor at my house.

"Sure you know I love that movie." We walked out of the mall almost empty handed but it made me feel free because I did not have to worry about seeing Dalton and it ruining my day. We walked the short walk to my house and passed the park where I had met him. I looked down as we passed not wanting to think about him at the moment. When we got to my house we removed our shoes and went into the kitchen. My parents were still sitting there reading.

"Hi Maya. How are you?" Asked my mom smilling.

"I'm good thanks and you?"

"I'm great, thank you. So what are you guys doing back so early?"

"We weren't really in the mood for shopping so we decided to come her and watch a movie." I said.

"Okay, well have fun." Said my mom turning back to her book. Maya and I walked down the stairs into my basement. She plopped herself onto the couch while I prepared the movie and turned out the lights. I sat down next to her on the couch just as the movie began.
