I finished my shower in record time so that I could call Maya. She was a big IM5 fan too. How had neither of us made the connection. I was so frustrated with myself. How could I have agreed to go on a date with Dalton Rapattoni? How would I do this without freaking out if I was on a date with a celebrity? I grabbed my cell phone without checking who called and texted Maya saying I was going to Skype her and to be ready. I quickly changed into my pajamas and grabbed my laptop I turned it on and opened Skype. I started a video call with Maya. She answered almost right away.
"Hey." She said.
"Oh my god Maya guess what I just realized?" I asked.
"What?" She asked only mildly interested.
" Well I figured out why Dalton was so familiar when I first met him."
"Oh really? Was he like from your camp or something?" She asked getting a little more interested.
"No. Well I was in the shower when my phone rang and Me and this girl started playing...." I said hoping my friend was smart enough to catch on.
"And...." She said then her eyes got huge. "Oh my god is he Dalton Rapattoni?" She asked. I nodded and she squealed. "You are so lucky!"
"No! Because now that I know it's him I won't be able to act like he is a normal person. I will be so nervous!"
" Well there is no way you are going to ruin probably your one chance at dating a celebrity because you are nervous! Also you will not tell him that you know who he is. You have to wait until he is ready to tell you."
"Alright. Are you still going to come over tomorrow?"
"Of course I am! There is no reason why I should not. Okay I have to go now. See you tomorrow at 11:20."
"Bye." I said hanging up. I lay down on my bed and just stared at the ceiling wondering how I would get through my date tomorrow. I fell asleep within fifteen minutes. When I woke up I checked the time. My clock said eleven. At first I just lay in bed but then the memories of the date and preparation came back to me and I ran down the stairs. I grabbed a yogurt and ran back to my room. I pulled on the clothes Maya wanted me to wear and ate the yogurt. I was really careful because I almost spilt it all down my shirt. By the time I was dressed and had eaten it was going on 11:15. I had only five minutes until Maya was going to be here so I got out all my hair stuff and makeup. I sat down staring at the stuff I barely knew how to use when the doorbell rang. I went down the stairs and opened the door for Maya.
"Hey! I see you started to get ready." She said removing her shoes. I smiled and we walked up to my room.
"You really need to show me how to do this so that I can do this on my own." I said as I sat down in my chair and she began my makeup.
"I would but you would never tell me when you dates if I did." She said smiling. I watched as she did my makeup as much as I could but she was blocking my view most of the time. When she finished she grabbed my brush. She began brushing through my knotted hair.
"Ow!" I yelled as she brushed with stopping.
"No pain no gain. We only have around twenty minutes and it takes awhile to get through your knots." She said as I cringed through it. It took her a full seven minutes to get through them. When she finished doing my braid I packed my purse and began to pace nervously around my room.
"Calm down he's going to be here soon. I'm going to leave so that you can have some alone time with him." She said smiling.
"Okay fine, but I'm still going to be super nervous." I said walking down the stairs behind her.
"Bye." She said. I opened the door and she walked down the driveway and waved. I went back to my room and made sure I had everything. I had my wallet, gum, a key and my phone. I was pacing my room again when the doorbell rang. I swallowed and ran to open the door before anyone else did but I was too late. My sister was opening the door.
"Hi, can I help you?" She asked batting her eyelashes even though she had a boyfriend.
"Ugh.. I'm looking for Morgan." He said kind of nervously.
"Oh. Morgan!" She yelled. "There's someone at the door for you."
"Okay I'll be right down!" I yelled from the top of the stairs. I walked down trying to go slowly. I saw him in the doorway and he smiled when he caught me looking.
"Come on I'm ready let's go." I said trying to get away from my sister. I walked out onto the front porch and closed the door in my nosey sister's face.
"So how are you?" He asked.
"Oh I'm good. How about you?"
"I'm great thanks. Oh are you okay after you fell into a pool yesterday? How did that even happen?" He asked smiling.
"Well I'm okay thanks, but I'm really clumsy so two kids were running by and I was answering my phone. When I slipped and fell in." I said sheepishly. He smiled at me and laughed. "Where exactly are we going?" I asked curiously.
"I was thinking we could go to the aquarium is that okay?" He asked.
" Oh yeah that's fine I love animals."
"Perfect." He said grinning.
"But, wait isn't the aquarium like a ten minute drive so then it would be a twenty minute walk or more?" I asked not wanting to ruin my new converses.
"Oh yeah we can go to my house to pick up my car."
"Sure." I said excited to see his house. We walked for about two minutes until we reached a fairly big house. His car was a Volkswagen Jetta. There was an IM5 sticker on the bumper but I pretended not to notice it. He opened the passenger door for me and I smiled as I got in. He closed the door and got in the other side he started the car and we were off. It was the beginning of the most embarrassing date I had ever been on.
