Me and Jacob were sitting on top of the roof looking at the day sky fade into night. We were holding hands and I was loving it. I never actually asked how he survived the coma or what happened but I didn't want to set a bad mood in between us so I just left it as it was. Jacob took his gaze from the sky and our eyes met. We shared a small kiss and then I snuggled under him.
"Bahja I meant to ask you earlier but uh...would you like to go see the lights with me?" Jacob asked biting his lip.
"The lights? what's that?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"It's kind of like a carnival full of lights." Jacob smiled.
"Then yeah we could go." I smiled and got up.
"Cool! It starts in like twenty minutes." Jacob stood up next to me.
"Then lets get going! Maybe Chresanto and Zonnique could go too." I was hoping he would say yes.
"Of course. I'll call Craig and he could occupy Zonnique. Chresanto probably will be at the food stand so he'll be fine." Jacob chuckled.
"True dat." I nodded. We made our way off the roof and to the living room where Chres and Nique sat watching holiday specials and movies.
"Do y'all want to go to lights with us?" I asked.
"I'm down." Zonnique got off the couch and put her coat on.
"Eh will there be food?" Chresanto asked before he got all the way up.
"Lots of it." Jacob said. Chresanto was already up with his coat on before Jacob even said "of".
"What y'all waiting for? Let's get this show on the road!" Chresanto cheered walking out the door.
"So we walking?" Zonnique asked.
"Yeah. It's not that far from here." Jacob said. Chresanto, Jacob, Zonnique, and I all started to make our way to the lights. Once we got there it was quiet and beautiful. The lights shone and the smell of food drifted Chresanto away from us. Craig was waiting at the front for Zonnique so we just left her there with him. Jacob and I walked around observing the colorful lights and enjoying our time together.
"I'm glad I made you mine Bahja." Jacob squeezed my hand.
"I'm glad you made me yours too." I kissed his cheek and we continued to walk through the carnival of lights. It was truly beautiful here. All the different colored lights and rides kept us all occupied. From the colorcoaster to the ferris wheel, Jacob and I had a great time. When it was time to leave the carnival we all made our way to the beach to continue our fun.
"Bahja I dare you to jump in the water with your clothes on." Chresanto smirked.
"If I do it, you have to too." I crossed my arms.
"Aight. Let's do this Brutice." Chresanto stretched.
'Who the hell is Brutice?" Zonnique giggled.
"It's an expression." Chresanto cut his eyes.
"Oh shut up and jump into the water crescent roll." Jacob chuckled. Chresanto faked laughed and then dived into the water. I went in after him and came up from the bottom.
"Woo!" I giggled.
"Is it cold in there?" Jacob said standing at the edge of the water.
"You tell me." I pulled him inside.
When Jacob came up for air he playfully pushed me and we just fooled around. That was the perfect Christmas Day.
