Another day, another dollar as my grandmother would say. Except today was Saturday. This week went by so fast. Zonnique is coming over today and I can't wait to hang out with her. I even cleaned up my room and when Bahja Shamoni Rodriguez cleans up her room it's serious. I heard the doorbell ring and I jumped up from the couch. I looked through the peep hole. It was Zonnique! I unlocked the door and Zonnique attacked me with a hug.

"Bahja!" She cheered.

"Hey Zonnique." I smiled hugging her back.

"Where's your folks?" She looked around.

"My grandma is helping my aunte today." I closed the door and locked it back.

"You live with your grandmother? Your so lucky." She plopped on top of the brown leather couch.

"Lucky? This place is a hell hole." I sat next to her.

"Not compared to living with my parents." She still observed her surroundings.

"Yeah okay, want a Popsicle?" I walked in the kitchen and opened the freezer.

"Sure." She smiled pleasantly. I grabbed a pink lemonade Minute Maid push up popsicle and got Zonnique a lemon one since I know she had a fascination with lemons. I tossed her the push-up Popsicle.

"Lemon. You remembered." Her face lightened up.

"Yeah I did. Let's go chill in my room." I said making my way up the stairs. Zonnique followed right behind me. I opened the door to my room.

"Welcome to Bahja's Casa!" I spread my arms wide.

"When you said you had an addiction with pink you really meant it." She giggled.

"Yup. Pink is the best color on the color wheel." I stated my opinion.

"Now wait just a minute. Everybody and they mama know red is the best color ever made." Zonnique argued.

"They made pink because that's what people thought of. That's why there is an expression. Think Pink." I argued back.

"But at least my color is Primary." She snarled.

"At least my color has a clothing line and store." I said.

"My color is in my body and your body." She smirked.

"My color is on the brain, lips, in the mouth, etc." I grinned.

"Whatever Bee." Zonnique rolled her eyes.

"Bee?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah it's one of the nicknames I made up for you." She sat on my bed.

"I feel bad now..." I pouted.

"Why?" Zonnique was obviously slow and confused.

"Because I didn't make up some nicknames for you..." I frowned.

"You can make one now Bee." She poked her lips out.

"Hmm how about Zonnie or Nique Nique?" I was in a thinking position.

"Doesn't matter Bee." She got up and turned on my closet light.

"Wow you have a lot of clothes." Nique walked further in.

"So do you have a crush on anybody yet?" I changed the subject.

"Yeah...Rayan Lopez." She looked embarrassed.

"He's...different." I said.

"What about you Beauty?" Zonnique looked over at me.

"Again with the nicknames." I groaned.

"Don't change the subject. Who do you have your eye on?" She asked again.

"Chresanto August..." I mumbled.

"Yeah you and all of Grady High." Nique Nique looked through my clothes.

"He's just so cute." I squeezed my teddy bear.

"He's cute but he's also a jerk." She took one of my shirts off the hanger.

"He's a cute jerk." I daydreamed.

"Yeah can I borrow this?" She help up a XO<3 sweater.

"Sure." I shrugged.

"But anyways Chresanto is total douche. Why would you like him? Now I'm not judging you nor am I saying you shouldn't continue to like him but he seems like the player type." Nique sat next to me.

"I know, I know. He's just so perfect." I held my heart.

"Tuh. Perfect? More like not perfect." She scoffed.

"Star you do realize that made no sense whatsoever." I laughed.

"Star?" She raised an eyebrow like I did earlier.

"Yeah cause you're like one. A pop star." I put my back against hers.

"Thanks?" She said unsure.

"Zonnique can you sing?" I asked randomly.

"I guess." She said.

"Sing and then I'll sing to make it fair." I made a puppy face.

"Okay fine." She cleared her throat then began singing "It's A Wrap" By Mariah Carey. Her voice was soft but pretty and soothing.

"Now you have to sing." She finished. I sung "The Way" By Ariana Grande.

"Your voice is perfection!" Nique complimented.

"Yours is too." I laid my head on her lap. It was an awkward silence.

"Bahja why do you live with your grandma?" Zonnique fishtailed my hair.

"Promise you wont tell anybody?" I held out my pinky finger. She locked hers onto mine.

"Who is there to tell?" She said.

"My dad is in jail and my mom is traveling the world with out me." I wiped an escaping tear.

"Aw Bee. I'm sorry I asked." She wiped my tears.

"Zonnique follow me." I got up and put my shoes back on.

"Where we going?" She put her shoes on too.

"Just follow me Zonnie." I raced down the steps and flew out the back door ( not literally I'm not no bird). I unlocked my clubhouse and let Zonnique go in before me.

"Woah." She stood in amazement. I smiled proudly.

"Who's is this?!" She walked around my pink piano.

"Mine. It was my mother and fathers but they left it here for me." I sat on the bench behind the piano.

"This is gorgeous." Zonnique touched it in awe.

"Thanks." I opened the glass that covered the keys.

"Play something." She sat on the pink plush bean bag. I began playing "Piano" By Ariana Grande.

"I could write a song with my new piano, I could sing about how love is a losing battle. Not hard (its not hard) It's not hard. (It's not hard)." I sung along with the song.

"Bahja your singing and piano playing is just so perfect! No wonder why the school assigned you choir." Nique Nique clapped.

"Thank you Nique your singing is A1 too!" I closed the glass top back.

"Girl nah. But I have to go I'll facetime you or something." She left. I looked at my iPhone. Wow it's really been three hours! I went back inside the house and my grandma was in the kitchen making a sandwich.

"Hey grandma." I hugged her.

"Hello child. How was hanging out with your friend?" My grammy asked.

"Fun. How was helping Aunte May?" I let her go.

"Hard. She's so crazy." My grandmother shook her head. I nodded.

"I saw that Zonnique girl leaving. She's such a darling." My grandma complimented Nique.

"You talked to her?" I sat in the kitchen wooden chair.

"Yeah she greeted me on her way out." Grandmother Beverley took a bite out her sandwich. My phone start to buzz and ring. It was ZJP.

"This is Z now GB talk to you later." I kissed my grandmother's cheek and rushed upstairs to my bedroom. I accepted Zonnique's call.

"Aye dere." Her Atlanta slang rang from my phone's speakers.

"Wassam fam?" I laid on my bed while untangling my headphones. I put them in my ear and turned the volume up.

"Chloe stop." Zonnique reprimanded her dog.

"When can I come over your house Star?" I asked.

"Um..I don't think that's a good idea. I'll facetime you later Beauty." She hung up rather quickly. What's up with her? Why couldn't I come over her place?
