Chapter 7      I did it for love

       Daniel's p.o.v
   I left her class with extreme rage. The nerve of that woman I thought. I headed straight to the men's locker room for sports and met Kelvin with this blonde. "Hey dude! Having a great time I see" I said "aren't having a class?" He asked ignoring my question. "She walked me out" I replied and he nodded. "Hey babes" I said to the blonde "watch it man she's mine" Kelvin said pointing a finger "relax dude I know right" I replied cocking a brow." So how's it going with Mona?" He asked " she was brainwashed" I said "ha! Man it seems your having a hard time making those cheap girls!" Kim stated "I can handle it... I can't lose, I never lose"I bragged. "There's still  three months left....so you have all the time" Allen said emphasizing the work 'time' and Kim laughed. I scoffed
'I have to find a way for Mona to fall for me no matter what' I thought and zoomed off in my e.o.d......

*Mona's p.o.v*
I kept thinking about Dan. I smiled all day thinking 'he wants to be friends with me awwwn'. I snapped myself off my foolish thoughts. Nicky noticed me and gave me this confused look "are ya ok? You've got twinkles in ya eyes" she wrote and I smiled "hey Nicky!  What 're you talking about! " I said and she chuckled. I took off my jacket and placed it on the coat hanger. I kissed her forehead as she kept chuckling. So adorable. "I missed ya Mona" she wrote "awwwn baby I missed you more" I replied "so what did you do today?" I asked as she adjusted on my lap "I took all my vitamins and mama gave me my milk. I had my pancakes and vegetables bjust like ya had said and helped mama cook lunch"she wrote "wow!...my baby did alot today huh?" I said playfully and she giggled. We had steak, vegetables and rice. "Where's Abby? " she wrote "ohh she's at work"I replied "aint ya going?" She wrote "I am, probably by 4. Now will you keep that and eat before I smack your behind!?" I yelled jokingly and she laughed covering her mouth. I laughed along and my mom couldnt help but laugh also.

I came back arround 7:30pm after my shifts and met davud sitting on the couch watching Tv. I didnt bother greeting him so I went up to meet Nicky in her room "hey Nick its time for dinner come on" I said but she. Didn't move an inch "hey baby what's wrong?" I asked. She was hesitant before taking her tab. "Daddy might do something again" .."...Nick he wont. I promise" I stated . She hesitated again then stood up from where she sat trembling ealier. She took her beret from the table handing it over to me before turning around.  I fixed it on her hair before we went down to have dinner.
At the dining table, we were all silent. I looked over at Nicky who wasnt eating but was trembling.  "Nicky eat up" I said holding her hands."oh my God Nicky you're burning up!" I said "Mona! Your at the table stop shouting like a bird" david shouted _ do birds shout?_ my conscience asked "mum please get her medicine and some glass of milk I'll bring her to her room" I said Ignoring him "excuse me" i added and she nodded "serves you right! " david blurted and I rolled my eyes. I picked carried Nicky up to her room and placed her on the be. I hurried into the bathroom to bring wet towel. I placed the wet towel and placed It on her forehead. After she was ok I decided to give her a warm bath. Nicky loves to do most things by herself, including bathing herself. Come on Nick lets get you freshen up before you go to bed "I want to bath myself please?" She wrote. "Ohh you dont want me to bath you anymore. ... awwn that hurts" I said smiling "I'm a big girl now let me..." she wrote "ok if you insist but if you need anything just knock on the door" I stated "how?" She wrote "if you're ok,  in there you knock twice and if you need me to help you out knock only once" I explained, and she nodded continuously. 
Five minutes later, and she wasnt done. "Are you ok ?!" I asked and she knocked thrice. I laughed "Nick there's no 'thrice' in the options" I said emphasizing the word 'thrice'. And she knocked once. "Ok" I said and continued to type on my phone. Another five minutes passed and she was out. She tied her towel up from her chest to inches above her knee. "Wow!" I exclaimed and she smiled interlocking her fingers. She got her all purple pyjamas and handed them over to me. I pulled down er towel and wore it on her she climbed on her bed and I cuddled her and before I knew it she was sound asleep. I put off her side lamp and pulled the blanket on her I kissed her forehead and left for my room.

The next morning, I got dressed into my black jean and white chiffon shirt, which was neatly tucked into my trousers. I decided to put my hair into a messy bunand applied very faint make-up. I took my black bag pack and my cell phone and jogged down to Nicky's room. I knocked slowly then walked in closing the door behind me.
"Morning baby!" I squealed. She was already dressed into this pink shorts and white sleeveless top with pink flowers on the front side . I gave it to her on her 6th birthday. She was combing her hair that ended 2 inches below her shoulders. She turned to look at me and waved before placing down her comb and hugging me tightly. "My baby is already dressed up! " I said and she nodded. "I'll be going to school now ok and dont forget to play, eat and take your vitamins ok?" I said and she nodded. "Bye" I said and she waved back.

"Mona you have a visitor!" My mother said as I was on the stairs. "Coming!" I answered. ........"here... feel at home" I heard my mother said as she handed him the glass of juice. _daniel!!!?_ my conscience snarled. I stood on the stairs in shock 'how did he find out where I lived?!' I thought "did you follow me?!" I yelled walking down slowly "hy" he said ignoring my question.  "I came so I could take you to school" he added _wow Dan thats so sweet of you!!_ my conscience spoke "Daniel dont you bother I'm not my responsibility" I Said "please just let me... please?" He pleaded. He had this puppy dog eyes that no one could ever know how to say no. How can I refuse this face... I sighed and accepted his offer and after I had my cereal, we left for school.
"So can we be friends?" He asked and I was silent "thanks but no" I said hesitantly not sure if my answer "how did you know where I lived?"I asked "I just know besides there's nothing wrong if I know where my lady friend lives right?" He said smirking. "Who said i'm your friend?!" I said hitting his shoulder lightly and smiling....... "Daniel Ferguson Padilla!" He said amidst laugh " you can't be serious" I said rolling my eyes..... _hey!hey!!hey!!! Mona! Thats how it all start!_ my conscience spoke in a warning tone i know I know! I''ll be careful...... I thought
