We arrived at school shortly after. He parked his car and got out immediately running up to open the door for me so I could get out."let me" he said sweetly "Dan it's embarrassing you don't have to you know" I replied blushing. He noticed it and smiled a lot more widely."you're blushing" he pointed "no I'm not maybe I applied too many make up that's why" I fired "Mmm....really?"he asked "yeah" I shouted rolling my eyes. "I have to get going.... I have an early class... catch you later?" He aside "ok" I nodded and he hurried off. I could imagine how lifeless I've become due to his sweet talks! _Mona stop dreaming big! Dan will only use you then dump you afterwards.... like you don't see how he does with all his ladies_my conscience nagged  'I think he's a bit different with me... maybe he's already a changed guy, who knows'I thought  _you cant be sure !! Be careful not to fall for whatever plans he has for you!!!_ it warned 'I can't be wrong! He really wants me as his friend. Besides what plan? I know Dan he may be a player but he isn't that cruel'I thought in accordance with my conscience. _ ah ah ! You only know his name not him! ah ah !!_ it bugged 'whatever his plans are, i'll make sure not to be one of his victims' I thought
At the cafeteria, I found Abby typing on her phone, smiling. I looked at her from afar confused. I approached her moments later and tapped her shoulder. She chuckled turning to look at me. "Hey Mona !"she said. She was this happy that she had a twinkle in her eye "am I missing out on something?" I asked still puzzled "well.. you know that cutie pie I was tell you about weeks ago?...."she said blushing hard "............yes" I looked puzzled.".....well we're now a couple oooooo!"she stated "wow! That's awesome!"I shouted  "yeah I know right?!" She said and I laughed "Mona! Can I join you?"Dan asked from behind me "well...." I hesitantly turned looking at him then back at Abby.." .....well sure!" I said "Mona you know how much his presence ruin my mood right?" Abby whispered "please Abby just get over it ok..... please? For me?" I whispered back and she shrugged "Fine!" She fired staring at Dan "thank you" Dan said sitting down "look here Mr man you're here only because of my best friend. If it were for me you would probably be choking on your spoon right now! On the contrary, you do anything to hurt my friend, you going to answer to me!" she snarled "Abby it's ok please" I whispered holding her hands as she pointed her fork at him. Dan kept smirking. "Mona I have to let him know so later he won't say I didn't warn him" she mumbled rolling her eyes, before she continued on her phone. Minutes later she was smiling again.
The launch at the cafeteria was peaceful and I got to know Dan a little  more better. I must say he was lively. No wonder all the girls at Jofay would do anything for him. Well that's their problem because for me, I have no intentions of letting him go that easy. He's now mine I thought smiling. "What?" He asked "nothing" I blurted. "Can I take a chip?" Dan asked "well yeah." I replied and he took lots of chip "hey! You said a 'chip'" I said emphasizing the word 'chip'. He laughed as I took back my chips. Yeah funny I know but I don't play when it comes to my food.

Dan dropped Abby and I off at our homes before zooming off. I know! He's so sweet. I walked in to see Nicky playing with her dolls. She spotted me by the door and ran up immediately to hug me . I knelt down and she attacked me with a hug until I was out of breathe "...um...Ni...cky... I ...can..t breathe" managed to blurt out before she let go off me. "Sorry" she wrote... 'I wonder when she'll ever talk again' I thought
"How 're you are you feeling much stronger?" I asked rubbing every part of her head "yes! Mama helped me study, she bathed me again and  she helped me eat and drink my vitamins" Nicky wrote "wow that's great I said looking at my mum as she smiled. 'I wished your mother is here today maybe you wouldn't have to go through this rough times here' I thought still touching her hair and smiling "mama got me a new doll" she wrote showing me this tall hairy doll 'well it's also a good thing my mother is caring for you now Nick. If only you know.... but I'll make sure you wouldn't have to find out about your real identity not if you want to get hurt' I thought _ but she has the right to know and oneday she'll probably find out_ my conscience spoke 'yeah right but you'll have to be very prepared Nick' I though. Nick pulled my hand bringing me back to reality "oh that's wonderful!" I exclaimed "did you say thank you?" I asked "I kissed her several times on her cheek and helped her in doing the dishes" she wrote  "wow i'm so proud of my baby!" I said and she laughed.

At about 5, Dan was at my house playing with Nicky. I got out of shower and blow dried my hair. I got into my white and black mini skirt that had coloured stripes and wore a black leggings underneath ,then wore this white cottonade oversized cloth  that had 'bahd' written in black at the back. one side fell down my shoulder revealing the hand of my vest, while the other was intact. I had my hair in a ponytail stood in front of the mirror for some minutes the took my bag which I used for work. I transferred some of my stuff I got from my school bag and jogged downstairs. I was surprised to see Daniel, I mean he never said anything about coming over to me at school. So why was he here I thought. "Dan?" I called "oh hey she's here " he said to Nicky. She ran to me pulling me towards Daniel "he's nice, he even got me chocolate!" I hate chocolates urgh! It gives me rash. Nicky wrote showing the chocolates to me I nodded and walked slowly until I was face to face with Dan. "Well I came over so I could say hello to Mrs David, so Nicky and I could get to know each other better right Nicky?" He stated and Nicky nodded giggling. "Are you going somewhere?"he asked and I nodded "to work" I answered "what happened to Nicky why can't she speak?" He whispered in a low tone in my ear probably I think he doesn't want Her to hear. 'That's wise of him' I thought "well she can as well hear you, you know" I whisperly snapped. "Well I know right! That's why I'm keeping it low!" He replied in a whisper. I saw Nicky looking at us puzzled before I turned "oh hey Nicky you know this my friend here is annoying and full of surprises hah!" I blurted. She then nodded continuously before tapping on her wrist signifying 'time'..."oh my! Time! I'm going to be late " I said blabbering "we'll get going baby" Dan said and Nicky hesitated "can I come with ya?" She wrote "ohh baby you know im going to be alot busy just stay with mu...." "well sure !" Dan chirped cutting me short. I hated him for that! i eyed him and he smirked...Nicky jumped and clapped in excitement "bye mum! I'm taking Nicky with me " I shouted and she hurried out of the laundry room. She gave me this look which reminded me of the other time I took Nicky out. I can't let her stay trapped at home only because David threatened us. She needs to go out maybe that'll improve her condition just like her doctor had suggested. "Don't worry mum everything's going to be fine ... no need to worry " I stated and she nodded. Dan carried Nicky to the car and placed her on the backseat. "Put on your seatbelt" he told her and she did. He also did the same for me and I smiled. He got into the car and starts it "where to?" He asked " M&M restaurant" I replied and we zoomed off.

"Thank you for the ride" I said getting Nicky out if the car. "Don't mention, you're most welcome" he replied "well I'm a bit hungry and I guess Nicky's hungry too right Nicky?" He added and Nicky nodded twice. "Let's go then" he said holding Nicky's hand and before I could flip, the already went into the restaurant. I sighed and followed suit.
Nicky ran to meet Abby as soon as she spotted her behind the kitchen desk. "Hey baby!" She squealed as she sighted Nicky. They enveloped in a hug for some minutes. ''Who 're you with? Mona?" Abby asked "..and me" Dan chirped and Abby turned to look at him. "You again?!" She shouted. "Hey Abby please don't make an issue out of this " I said upon arriving. "Come with me" she mumbled "common Nicky what do you want to eat?....waiter!" He asked calling the waiter.
"You should have a good explanations for all this!" Abby yelled silently as we entered the store room."he kept pestering me I couldn't help it and besides he's already gotten used to Nicky I don't want to ruin that" I said "oh please don't bring Nicky into this mess of yours! Mona can't you see he's trying to use you. I tell you trust me there's something fishy about this guy"she continued "Abby please, ....."I started "are we going to keep on arguing on this all the time?" I added "hmmm"she sighed "don't blame me if you get yourself in trouble or worst, fall his victim" she fired "Abby trust me ... just this once I'm asking you please?" I pleaded "I'm sorry Mona I don't want to be part of this... you started it , finish it " she said rolling her eyes "excuse me I've got work to do" she added then exited the room. 'Oh Abby don't get in the way not now please?!' I thought. I picked up my uniform from the drawer, changed and got to work.
Nicky fell asleep in Dan's arm. "I'm sorry " I said "no no! It's ok I can manage" he said and I nodded. I met Abby in the kitchen doing dishes."Abby ? Can we talk ? Like adults?" I asked and she turned. She was really mad at me and I totally understand. She was just looking out for me. _who wouldnt be ?Even i am!_ my conscience spoke "Mona?! I'm just looking out for you that's all" Abby said "I know Abby but you know this is my only chance to get close to him right? I mean he's the guy my heart call for " I didnt call for him mona !hear me out!_ my conscience nagged......'you're my conscience not my heart duh?!' I thought
