It's morning a and I didn't get any sleep. Jake and his master plan to ruin my high school experience, is getting to me. If he's really in my Geometry class, then how am I supposed to concentrate on the area of a circle?

I'm not ready for today. I'm not even ready for dismissal. I know that as soon as the last bell rings, he's going to be right up my butt about something stupid.

"Let's go!" I faintly hear Willow's voice yelling from downstairs, calling me down. I throw on a pair of naturally ripped jeans and a white tank top, covered by my leather jacket with too many zippers.

I sulk my way through breakfast, nibbling on an apple. I try my best to forget about Jake and focus on homework or even the weather, but it's no use. I'm stuck.

I walk outside to find Ana sitting in her navy blue BMW, blasting music from the inside. I groan at her musical choice and slide in next t to her. Today will not be a good day.

The only noise during the ride was an annoying pop song that I was forced to listen to. Ana seems oblivious to the fact that my heart is beating like crazy and my hands are sweaty. If I was under any more stress, I'd probably be ripping out my hair.

We pulled into the parking lot and Liam was waiting for me. Ana quickly disappeared, probably looking for Chuck so she could tell him everything about what happened this weekend. I looked around frantically, searching the campus for any sign of Jake. Nothing.

Maybe he isn't even here today. Maybe he moved back to Minnesota Unfortunately, my hopes were crushed when Liam looks out into the lot and frowns. I followed his eyes to see a head of messy hair, followed by a great big crowd. He was here.

I groan, tilting my head back and closing my eyes in defeat. Liam doesn't seem as excited as before when he realized that his brother was back in town. He seems more intangible. Less enthusiastic.

Jake turns his head and locks eyes with me. I manage to catch a lopsided grin before he disappears inside the school. I shake the uneasy feeling and proceed to class. Geometry.

Every wing in the school is overpopulated with students talking about Jake and his great return to HHS. My stomach churns and I have a steady feeling of sickness. My head hurts and I wouldn't be able to make out sentences if I tried.

I slowly make my way into my Geometry class. Mr. Adams sits at his desk, feet up on a separate chair, and his combed hair is perfect, not a strand out of place. He sees me and gestures to a seating chart on the white board.

My chest tightens as I notice my name across from Jake's. I groan audibly at Mr. Adams. if only he knew how much I hated him right now... I throw my bag onto the group table and sit down in a huff of anger. I beg to myself that Jake decides not to show up to class or that he gets in a sudden accident that causes him to go home.

Unfortunately, he eventually walks in. His arm is wrapped around a tall girl wearing a tight red dress. Jake peeks at the chart and then back at my table.

His face is a disgusting blackish-blue color, reaching from around his nose to the bridge of his nose. I suddenly feel bad. I've never left a mark on him and it suddenly feels weird, conquering something I've wanted to do my entire life.

When he notices me his face grows into a huge grin. I press my forehead to the table, dreading the next 80 minutes. He slides into the seat across from me, leaving me face to face with Jake Cross himself. The girl next to him, the one he walked in with, blows a bubble with her gum and I'm tempted to not pop it and splat it all over her face. She leans into Jake, who reaches a hand under the table to grab her leg. She giggles in an annoying popular girl way. I've seen her around school before, usually talking to her squad of nasty looking popular's in the hallway.
