It Was You! (Joker x Reader)

Chapter 21

(Y/N):"why?" I said in a weak voice

Joker:"it's just hard with...Marcela. I understand she can be really bitchy, but she does have the rights to see her grandchild & to be with her. There's nothing much I can do. & what you did earlier-"

(Y/N):"She smacked me! I'm not gonna let anyone lay a hand on me!!" I yelled

(Y/N):" I'm tired of people treating me like shit...I had enough of it..." I looked away & stared off through the window.

Joker didn't do much, I felt him staring at me. It got quiet & awkward. I hated it.

Joker:"You can still work with me but you'll be staying with my boss"

What? Joker has a boss?

(Y/N):"What?" I looked at him puzzled

Joker:"I don't plan all of my stuff on my own & don't worry about him. He lives with his wife & his daughter & aunt. "

I felt a little bit more comfortable after he told me who his boss lived with.

Joker:"I talked to him & he understood. But I need you to promise me you will be good?"

(Y/N):"Sure"

Joker:"what was that?"

(Y/N);"Yes sir! I'll be good" I giggle, he then joined in.

I was pretty upset of leaving. I started to like this place a lot. & me & joker got a lot closer. Whenever I look at him, I feel butterflies in my stomach. My heart would beat faster. & blush a lot more often. Could I? Could I be falling for J?

We finally got home & we walked to the entrance. We both stood infront of eachother. We looked at eachother for quite a while, I was enjoying every second of it.

Joker:"You did an amazing job" he said in a low voice. He hold up the bag & shook it.

I laughed.

(Y/N):"Thanks!"

We were just a few inches away from our faces. I look at his soft blue eyes, starring back at me. Is this actually happening? We started invading eachothers spaces until we were only a few centimeters away from eachother.
But then his phone went off. He growled & answered.

Joker:"What now!"

I stepped back & waited until he finished.

Joker:"Sorry" he looked disappointed.

(Y/N):"Its ok" I smiled.

I walked up to him & hugged him. I felt his arms wrapped around me. After a few seconds later, we departed.

(Y/N):"Goodnight,J"

Joker:"Goodnight, doll"

& off I went. I made my way to my room & crashed on the bed. I was so tired. Wonder what will happen tomorrow?

The next day....

Joker:"Wake up!"

I open my eyes & saw him staring down at me.

(Y/N):"What?" As I stretched.
