An Asgardian Story of Love

Chapter 4

Thor snorts quietly to himself as he looks at Lady Sif quietly for a moment. He shakes his head with a slight smirk still in place on his firm facial features. It would seem that Lady Sif has the right of the situation without putting much thought into it, which says a lot about his brothers.

He knows that he must take care of this situation once and for all so that neither one of his brothers tries anything against his best friend again.

He does not like to think of Lady Sif dealing with such nastiness and will make it a point of making sure everyone knows of it by making an example of his brothers. He knows that doing things this way is the only way to make sure Loki is aware of his place among Thor and Sif.

It is sad that things have to end up in this light but he knows that it must end up this way if he is to be on the positive end of the situation. He smirks to himself as he rolls his eyes at the thought of Loki's response to Thor's take on the situation.

He knows that Sif is right that it may end up in the brothers trading blows. It would bring a certain sense of bitterness out of Loki that his older brother would dare to treat him this way but Thor will certainly deal with this problem when it comes up in the conversation.

He wants to put this "fight" down in the books as soon as possible. He does not know why but he wants Lady Sif in the room as well when the fight goes down so that she can see just how well Thor will deal with situations such as this one when they arise for the young heir to the throne of Asgard.

He wants her to be impressed with her best friend, though he is not sure where this feeling comes from either. All he knows is that he wants her to see just how he will deal with her problems when the need to do so comes up.

He knows that Sif would rather deal with the situations herself but there are times when Thor must deal with them. The two who created this problem are his brothers, after all.

Why wouldn't he want to put Baldr and Loki in their place in front of the woman they tried to take advantage of? She is /his/ to wed and not Baldr's.

The thought of his brother marrying Sif sends nausea to the pit of his stomach to the point where Thor has to hide the urge to retch in front of Sif so that she does not worry for him. Does he really want her to worry about him at all, let alone right now?

Sif has stepped back by this time and is now gazing deeply into his beautiful blue eyes. One of the many features that she liked about him. She liked everything about him and she had kept herself for him only, though he does not know of this at the moment.

She was sure he knew that she had not been with anyone else but he didn't specifically know that she was saving herself for him.

She doesn't know where such a thought comes from at this moment in time and she pulls away from the eye contact so he cannot read this in her eyes now, but Thor was a God himself and he would surely know what thoughts went through her mind if he could read them.

Right now was not the time for such thoughts and she knew it. She was sure that Thor would want to set his brothers straight since they were starting to get sneaky and under-handed. But that was Loki.

He was always looking for trouble and he usually found it but right now she knew that he would not want to face Thor when he was protecting her. Thor had a kind heart, but she had seen the other side of him as well, especially when they were fighting side by side in wars.

They didn't call him the God of Thunder and Lightning for nothing and she knew that Loki could be wary of him when he was angered. Sif bit her bottom lip as she looked up at Thor now.

"I apologize for what has happened. Please don't be angry with me for breaking Baldr's nose. He kind of had it coming, though."

She shudders again at the sight of those puckered-up lips. The god didn't know anything about kissing and it looked like a big ugly gorilla was coming at her.

She knew that if Thor had been there, they would have not tried it at all but they seemed to forget that she could be just as dangerous as Thor, only it was not her place to get after his brothers.

She was only using self-defense. Thor would handle the rest. Loki had been surprised at her swing and had realized she was angry.
