Thor's voice is but a soft whisper as he responds to Sif's words after the slightest of hesitations. "What is there to apologize for? What have you done that is apparently so scandalous? I do not understand this."

Thor leans down towards Sif's lips and kisses them for a second time since his consort had stolen the first kiss.

"Do not steal what is rightfully yours to begin with. Is that what you are apologizing for? If so, that makes even LESS sense than before. You cannot steal what will always belong to the future consort to the king of Asgard!"

There is an amused note in his deep voice as he keeps his lips mere centimeters from her own. He knows that this action will drive Lady Sif absolutely insane since he knows of her feelings for him as of this moment.

Perhaps he could find other ways to drive her insane as the two of them come to know one another in a more intimate setting. He is more than excited about this thought as he looks down at Sif with a look akin to crossing his cerulean blue eyes.

He desperately wishes to snuggle close to her but he does not have the room to do so at this point. He would have to wait until they are in the bed together later in the evening. Would she even let him anywhere near her sleeping quarters?

He is afraid to ask the question, though she would cajole him for his fear if he does manage to ask her in an open sense. He can hear her words now as she berates him very gently for being afraid to ask anything of her or to say anything that may be on his mind.

They are incredibly close as best friends but there are still topics that Thor is rather wary of approaching. This will become one of them and that in of itself makes Thor sad as he looks at the woman he has come to love.

He never thought that he would ever avoid topics of conversation with her but he shouldn't be surprised if he thinks back on it now. Are there certain things, besides their love, that Lady Sif is afraid to broach?

He will have to sit down with her to ask just to get it off of his chest in the end. He is sick and tired of tip-toeing around certain conversations, after all.

Sif narrowed her eyes as he spoke, but the look in her eyes was more playful. Her smile was even more friendly and she was immediately kissed by the god of Thunder. She felt her heart beat quicken when he pressed his lips to hers once more.

Did she really have to let him sleep in his room tonight or could he just hold her all night and let her sleep in his arms? She was happy to be his best friend and could not help that she was melting in his arms even as he spoke.

He was right it didn't make sense but then love never made sense. It just was. She should known that, being who she was. The experience was so much different than the description of love and she knew now that there was not enough words in the world to describe the feeling.

In a sense she loved this side of Thor and how gentle he could be. But then she knew it existed, because of the way he dealt with the humans. She knew that he loved them. That he would protect them at all costs.

She had a great respect for him and his values. She knew that he had told her that she could do whatever she needed to to keep Loki and Baldr out of her hair.

But as much as she disliked Loki and what he has done to her over the years, the subject of her hair was still taboo in her opinion, she knew that Thor cared for him. That is why she has not done any worse to him than she has done.

That is not to say that Loki has not paid for some of what he has done by her hand. She was still afraid to speak of intimacy in the bedroom, but then she knew that at some point it would have to be discussed, along with other arrangements that would need to be made.

But right now she was focusing on the new discovery that they had both made. The fates had put them together and she was not taking that for granted. How could she when she never thought she would fall in love with anyone?

Thor had always been someone that she trusted and they had become best friends before they fell in love. She had not realized until now that it is quite possible that Thor had been courting her and she had not even known until now.

But it made sense. He was always there for her and making sure that his brothers stayed away as much as possible. He had spent his free time on Asgard with her, though he could have been off doing other things.
