Thor raises a single eyebrow as he manages to catch Sif without falling to the ground with her on top of him. He is not entirely surprised by Sif's words since Loki has tried this trickery before and failed at that time as well.

Thor had no idea that he would try again, however, and even put Sif into his plans. This is not a good thing for either one of them since Thor loves Lady Sif more than his brother ever would.

Thor wants this woman in his arms for himself, though he does not know that Sif wants her in this manner as well. He does not know if she knows of his thoughts or not, though he hopes against hope that she does not so that she does not reject him.

He does not know what he would do if he asked her to be his consort from here on out...and she rejects him point-blank. He shudders now at the thought of her ever rejecting him at any turn of the path since he does not know what he would do without this woman by his side.

But she couldn't reject him if he never asked it of her, would she? He doesn't want to live with this form of anxiety for the rest of his days so he knows that asking her soon is the best course of action.

He does not want to think of her rejecting him at his request so he puts that nasty thought out of his mind as he lets out a deep breath to answer her words, a contemplative look on his facial features.

Being calm when she is angry is the best option for him at the moment. "Lady Sif...you know I would never let you be married off to my oaf of a brother if I have any say in the matter. I will speak to the idiots after our time is over so they realize the God of Thunder is not happy with them. It will not happen again as far as I am concerned...because I will not let it occur again. Do not worry yourself over this travesty any longer. Please, my lady."

Sif nodded and remained hugging him. She was still a woman that had feelings, even though she was the Goddess of War. She knew that Thor was not happy with the situation, but his calmness helped her.

He knew of her past history. She was feisty and lost her temper a lot. Thor had somehow become her anchor and after a few minutes, she had calmed completely down.

She was realizing that she was falling deeply in love with Thor and if he ever asked her to be his consort, she would tell him yes but she would not be one to beg.

She was too proud for that and being a warrior, she knew that she could stand on her own two feet but there was that part of her that was the goddess of love that seemed to soften her around Thor.

She could not deny her feelings for him. As for Loki and Baldr, she knew that Thor was more than capable of taking care of them and even though the warrior in her wanted to desperately take care of them herself, she knew it wasn't her place.

Thor would deal with it and she could calm down and let him do it. She snuggled closer in his arms, without realizing that she was even doing so.

"I shall let you handle the situation. Loki is your brother after all and so is Baldr. I trust they will heed your advice or whatever words you must say, though I think it might come to fighting."
