Chapter Four

"Back on the task at hand, I see..." I muttered, walking up to the scene of Sybil making out with one of her victims, while Damon fed on his wrist.

Keep in mind she was in the pool, straddling the body, and Damon was lying on the concrete beside her.

Enzo immediately got up from his seated position against the wall off the floor.

"Hm.." Sybil mumbled as she removed her face from the body's. "Deliver us some evil. We wouldn't want to fall behind on our quota, after that little sidebar today."

Damon suddenly vamp-sped over to me, plunging his hand into my chest, causing me to let out a grunt in pain.

"Cassidy!" Enzo shouted, racing over to the scene.

Sybil held her hand out, stopping Enzo from moving as she made her way out of the pool and over to us.

I started losing my breath Damon's hand clamped around my heart, and a smirk found its way onto his face.

"Thanks." Sybil lightly smiled as she grabbed hold of my head from behind, and Damon's arm retreated.

I let out a large sigh of relief, and my breathing steadied. "I just need a little peek.." Sybil trailed off while I attempted to fight her persuasion.

"I love you, Enzo." I chirped, as sweat streaked down my forehead, causing him to shake his head.

"No. You do not get to say goodbye. Not like this." Enzo gripped my hand tighter as I remained sat up against the wall. "You're tougher than this."

"I love you, Lorenzo St. John." I sadly smiled, as my breathing picked up, and I let out a cough, dried blood still surrounding my mouth.

Enzo pulled me up off of the wall, into his grasp, my head resting in his lap as I looked up at him.

"Stop it, Cassidy." Enzo's voice grew angry as his eyes glossed over.

"I love you so much.." I whined, my voice growing shaky as a tear slid down my cheek.

"Just a little more.." Sybil's voice grew softer as her hands remained wrapped around my head.

"You are my best-friend, and you are the reason that I still have my humanity. We have been through so much- we've been to literal hell and back...I refuse to put you in harms way. You need to live your life while you can, but you're going to promise me that you will find a way to fix me, Enzo, and Damon." I sadly smiled to Bonnie.

"Cassidy..." Bonnie wined with tears in her eyes.

"Promise me!" I exclaimed.

Sybil's grasp on my head remained, after she spun me around to face her. "Talk about killing two birds with one stone.."

Her eyes fell to Enzo who immediately began shaking his head.

"Now, why did it take me so long to put two-and-two together?" she curiously questioned, pulling me closer to her as her hands fell back to my cheeks. "You and your best-friend make an awfully cute duo."

Sybil's face sat centimeters away from mine as she pulled me closer, and our noses touched.

Enzo grunted in pain as Sybil's hands remained clung to his head.

"Just turn it off." Sybil demanded in her bathrobe, while I sat on the couch beside Damon's chair.

She grabbed his chin, forcing him to look her in the eyes. "It's a little bitty humanity switch right at the back of your noggin." she taunted.
