Chapter Ten
✯
Apparently, Damon and Stefan made a deal with Cade.
For those of you who are just as utterly confused as I was, Cade is basically Satan.
So yeah, Damon and Stefan made a deal with the literal devil.
I really thought we were done with those.
Anyway, Sybil gets to live an immortal life, not having to worry about being doomed to hell, while Seline does. Damon and Stefan are Cade's new 'merry-men'? They serve Cade the same way the sirens did, by delivering the darkest souls to hell, so they don't end up there.
Why would they sell themselves to Cade for no apparent reason?
To save Lizzie and Josie of course.
Quickly averting over from that depressing topic, I'd like to take note that it's Christmas Eve. Not only is this my all-time favorite holiday, but I also get to drink all day without anyone nagging me.
"Oh- I've got something for you." Enzo piped up,
"Early Christmas gifts already? You know me so well.." I smirked, lifting my head off of his chest as he leaned over the bed, grabbing a semi-small box from the side table drawer.
"Well, based on the way things have been around here lately, I figure now is a better time than never." Enzo rolled over, still laying down as he held up the box.
My eyes widened as I sat upright. "Whoa- Enzo, I know our luck hasn't been the greatest, but I don't really wanna steal Caroline's shine, and I just don't think I'm ready for-"
"It's not a proposal." Enzo clarified, chuckling. "Just open it."
I narrowed my eyes at him, snatching the box from his grasp. I flipped the lid off, placing it beside me. Inside the box, was a miniature Eiffel tower.
"Aw, love it." I widely smiled, "I can totally use this to keep all of the papers I don't have, from blowing away."
Enzo laughed. "I'm taking you to Paris, silly tribrid."
My face dropped in shock as I held up the miniature tower, letting out a squeal, making my way back onto his chest. I wrapped him in a quick hug before our eyes met. "Say the word and we're off." Enzo breathed, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
I smiled as our lips met, until we were interrupted my by phone ringing. I attempted to pull away, but Enzo pulled me closer, causing me to let out a laugh. "Hey-" I grinned, pushing his arm away as I reached over for my phone on the side table.
I had totally forgotten about Caroline's Christmas party.
"I'm sorry. I know we're late." I apologized, running a hand through my hair as I sat up. "We'll be down in a few."
"No, that's good. Don't come downstairs." Caroline asserted,
My eyebrows furrowed as I looked back at Enzo, causing him to sit upright. "Why not?"
"It's Damon. He's here with that psycho American Idol reject." Caroline hissed, "You cannot be around her. And don't even get me started on what Matt and Ric just tried to pull."
"Wait- what do Sybil and Damon want?" I questioned,
"To ruin Christmas? I don't know.." Caroline sighed, "But they promised to leave my kids alone, and I don't want a war. I just hope that they leave soon."
"Well, what about the tuning fork?" Enzo chimed in from beside me.
"She stole it from us." I informed, rolling my eyes in annoyance.
