There was once a time
with no minds and no sound.
Just independent thoughts,
and no evil to be found. In that silence, we hear echoes,
those of a forbidden voice.
To follow or to ignore;
That is our choice. Those that follow the unknown voice,
a road of evil they will take.
Others may choose not,
though neither is a mistake. The echoes are in the silence,
but in silence there may be fear.
So long awaits the silence
and the echoes we may never hear.I've tried to hear the echoes,
but others dictate my free will.
They know not of the voice of silence,
for the light sheds not upon such darkness. What does thou seek from the echoes?
A path to take you afar?
We may never hear the voices
if we don't end the war.Notes:
In the third stanza, try replacing evil with truth. Changes the idea, yes? A story could be made from this, but I'm not too great with narratives.
