Michelle's POV

I could barely get rest after the call of received from the person that could be the killer. I didn't answer his question about who should live. Well, I had a reason not to! I don't care if one of them isn't my close friend, but nobody deserves to be murdered in such a way. Nobody.

It's been a few hours since that call. I've been anticipating a break-in, or the sounds of screaming from upstairs. Nothing happened.

Didn't he say that if I didn't choose, he'd kill everyone?

I didn't know what to believe anymore, I feel like I can't trust anybody. Really, it sucks. I've been at distant from my friends lately, because the murders seemed so weird. Only someone close to us could take this much advantage.

I was sitting on the couch, blankly staring at the dead television set across me.

And then I heard the door jiggling.

I instantly grabbed the nearest item to my right, which was an unplugged lamp.

My hands were shaking as I stood up. I was so anxious to know who was on the other side of the door. If anyone at all.

The door flung open as I was about to unlock it, knocking me off my feet.

I screamed loudly while groping my hair in pain, and so did the other person. I looked to see who it was, and to my surprise, it wasn't a killer in a weird hoodie.

It was Juno.  She's back! In one piece!

"Juno?" I called out. "Michelle...what was that?!" Juno picked me up and laid me on the couch.

"I'm only like this because of the call I got okay? I'm not a lunatic." I reassured her, which deemed to be useless as she clicked her tongue.

"I know you're not." She put a pillow behind my neck. "What call did you get anyway?" she asked.

"Long story short, it was the killer again." Juno instantly started panting. "Wh-where is he?! Is he coming here?!"

I calmed her down by putting my hand on her shoulder. "No, I don't know. I mean, they made me choose between you and Olivia...so"

"Oh my God what?!" Juno looked like she was going to faint.

"I can't believe...did you choose?" She asked while holding her head. "Well, you're here alive and well... I can't seem to find Olivia."

Juno stood up. "So you mean to tell me she's-"

I interrupted her. "I don't know for sure, she's probably at a local bar or something. Just hope to God she's fine."

I walked upstairs and proceeded to an empty bedroom, set my things down, and plopped onto the bed to get some rest.

Oh, and hope for the best.

The Next Day

I woke up to the sound of a banging door and a blinding sunlight through the curtains.

"Wake up, we need to find Olivia!" It was Juno. I put on my shirt and changed my pants.

When I got out of the room, everyone was just walking around the room like ducks. We all had one goal- to find Olivia.

We searched everywhere, the town, the hospital, every local hotel. She wasn't present in any. We also called her house, she wasn't home.

All of us had waiting until that seventy-two hour mark hit. Time was precious, and I was starting to assume the worst. She was probably dead already.
