Ken's POV
Gosh, police these days would stop at nothing to avoid us civilians. But now, they can't. Not with a body in my vents. Not with blood in the bathtub. Not today.
After finding Olivia's lifeless body in the duct on the roof, we had called the cops. They've arrived in an instant. Nikita and I were downstairs by the time the police came. We didn't want to smell Olivia's corpse any longer.
We were escorted out of the house and just as we were entering a police truck, Elliot and the gang arrived in a rental car.
"What happened?" Elliot panicked while exiting the car.
"What the...." added Juno while looking around at the police cars surrounding the premises.
"Please tell me nobody was killed." Michelle said while holding her chest. She looked stressed. We all were really stressed. Ever since Adolf's death, things have been so messed up lately. I have no words for how destroyed I am.
I can't take it any longer, but I'll force myself to.
I held Nikita's arm and approached the rental car.
"We.." I was cut off.
"We found her." Nikita dropped down to the ground and sobbed. "She's dead she's dead she's dead! I can't do this anymore!" Nikita put her face into her knees. I bent down to comfort her, but right now, nothing would comfort us.
"It's Olivia..isn't it?" Juno quietly asked while covering her mouth with her palms.
We didn't answer her, but eventually they took the hint that it was in fact Olivia who was dead. On the outside, I looked perfectly normal. On the inside, I wanted to die. We were all going through too much already. It's so overwhelming.
After a few minutes of silence, I persuaded Kit to ride with us to the police department. She got up, and eventually we were all inside.
The car ride was silent. But our thoughts were quite loud.
"Hey guys?" Elliot broke the intimidating quietness.
"Yeah." I answered from the back of the car. Elliot was driving, Juno was in the passengers, while Kit, Michelle and I were behind.
"Who do you think is doing this?" he continued. Juno scratched her head and sighed.
"I don't feel like now is the right time Elli." she replied while facing away from him.
"No." Michelle said as she leaned forward. "Now, is the perfect time. You know why? All this time we've been sitting on our ass doing almost nothing to try and stop this bastard." she added to her response. She seemed a bit flustered.
"Sitting on our ass? We were literally trying to relax after the murders that have been going on!" Juno shouted back.
"Hey no need to yell girls." Nikita waved her hands in the air to get their attention.
"Wait." Elliot stopped them from quarreling.
"What if that's what the killer wants us to do? Maybe trying to get away from everything would be some sort of entrance for the killer to do their thing easier?"
"Maybe the killer just feels like doing while we feel like relaxing...coincidence?" I responded.
I was starting to become convinced by his theory.
"You're right Elliot! Maybe sitting around is an invite for the killer to conduct his work." Michelle wagged her finger.
"And! Another invite would be.. vulnerability! Maybe the killer is trying to destroy us mentally first and actually start the real murders. Maybe Luci, Chris, and Olivia were just the pre-murders, you know what I mean?" I contributed to the conversation, being the very wise aspect of the group. "These murders would be done to destroy us mentally, and maybe the real murders are coming soon." Juno expanded the conversation.
