The Wolf Prince | Chapter Eight

Grayson's territory was beautiful.

Glassmeadows was large in comparison to Whispering Pines, but no where near as large as Shadowland. The town consisted of many cute touristy shops and ice cream parlors. Villagers walked down the streets with their little soon to be wolf bound children happily.

The pack house was located on the edge of the territory, a couple steps from the unclaimed land that was dominated by rogues. When we pulled up to the pack house I was surprised at how small it was. The house itself may have been small but it was as beautiful as the town it belonged to. The house was made of glass, you could see a large glass staircase that ran up the middle of it, right after the entry way. Behind the glass house stood a larger two story building tucked in a nook of trees.

"Someone's got a lot of money," I hear Harley whisper from beside me.

"Grayson runs the strongest pack; they make a lot of money protecting the Princes' palace." Says my father from the driver's seat. I shiver when I see Grayson leaning against the glass railing outside his house. When we climb out of the car I avoid all eye contact with Mr. Crimson eyes.

"Welcome Darren," Grayson calls to my father pushing off the railing to stride toward us. Then he's in front of me, with his had extended. "Here let me take that for you," Grayson says, eyeing my luggage.

"Um," I try to keep my eyes trained on my boots "I've got it," I decline, awkwardly kicking the dirt.

"Okay," he says, putting his extended hand to the back of his neck.

"Thank you for this, the rest of the pack should be here soon," my father says to Grayson, shaking his hand.

"Well it's no problem; it's the least I can do. They'll be staying in the pack house, there's plenty of space." I points to the large building behind his glass house.

"I better get going now, I'll leave you guys to get settled in," my father turns to me with a hug "I'll see you soon, take care of the pack Shira," He whispers to me.

"I will," I reply quietly.

"Good," he kisses the top of my head and returns to the car. I wave as he leaves and then turn around to find Grayson watching me. "What?" I snap.

"I'll show you to your rooms," he motions for Har and I to follow him but I stay planted in my spot.

"I thought we were going to be staying in the pack house," I raise a brow as he turns around crossing his arms. My eyes roam his bulging biceps and I inwardly groan as he notices.

"You are the alphas daughter. You are a future alpha yourself. And most importantly you're mine. You won't be staying in the pack house, you'll be staying with me," he growls and out of the corner of my eye I watch Har jump up and down with a silent squeal at what Grayson just admitted. Out loud.

"Lead the way alpha," I say surprising myself with a smirk of my own.

After he showed Harley her room he led the way upstairs and we ended up in front of a door at the end of a hall. "This is your room," he opens the door for me.

"Thanks," I mumble, throwing my luggage on my bed. I turn to face Grayson who leans against my door frame.

"My room is right there," he points to the room beside mine.
