Hello :) Important note at the end lovelies <3 (I'm in need of some opinions)

The Wolf Prince | Chapter Twenty Two

The days had dragged on.

I locked myself away in Grayson's glass house, confined to the small space of my borrowed bedroom. I hadn't eaten in days and I was incredibly sleep deprived. No matter how hard I tried to sleep, I couldn't, it wouldn't drag me under. The nightmares were too vivid when I did drift I always woke up minutes after they began, shaking with hot sweats.

Grayson had done his best to comfort me and provide me with anything I needed but I didn't enjoy his help, nor needed it. Not to mention his presence was a constant reminder of my piling problems and pathetic past. He didn't help my mood.

"Morning Princess." Joyce whispers, peeking through the crack in my door with a goofy smile. I quickly sit up in my bed pulling the sheets higher and patting the spot beside me. "Are you decent?" He winks, and throws himself onto my bed after I send him a nod confirming the fact that no, I'm not nude.

"I brought you some cereal," he smirks, placing a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch between us.

"No milk?" I laugh, looking down at the bowl of dry cereal.

Recently it seemed like Joyce and Rosa were the only ones that could cheer me up. After Rosa had recovered after getting some well needed rest, she checked up on me everyday. I felt bad because I wish I could do the same for Erik. I can't even imagine how he must be feeling right now and here I am not even attempting to see how he is.

"Milk is for losers," he winks, picking at his own bowl of dry cereal. Dear lord this boy sure has a healthy appetite. I pick up my own bowl and start munching away.

"Soo," I begin, looking away from Joy's quirky dimples. "What's today's schedule?" I ask, leaning back against my headboard with the bowl in my lap.

"Grayson has decided that it would be best for you if your father were to visit once every week."

I nearly choke after hearing this and sit up a little straighter. "And?" I urge for him to continue.

"He will be stopping by today, he said that he sad a couple things to discuss with you regarding Harley and the rogue wolf bound." His eyes go dark as he says rogue, his voice sewing with venom.

"Grayson didn't tell him about-" I cut myself off mid sentence too afraid to reveal Kyran's name. A secret that is best kept.

"No," Joyce shakes his head with a smirk. "Your not-so-secret boyfriend is still a secret." He winks.

I blush at this, my eyebrows knitting together in shock. I didn't deny anything, partly because I was sort of very kind of attracted to Ky, but who wouldn't be? He was dangerous and smart. So instead a throw a pillow at Joy's head."

"Sorry, Princess" he laughs, dodging the pillow. 'Princess' had become Joyce's newest pet name for me. Ever since I returned from Hollowdell he'd been giving me a new pet name every week. Last weeks pet name was caramel pop, because it was the first food we shared. Next weeks will probably be cinnamon toast or something along the lines of that. I enjoyed it, he did it to lighten the mood a bit if things got sad, and he did it to keep a smile on my face.

"Your fathers here," Grayson says, poking his head into my room.

"Thanks," I reply, placing my bowl on my side table and quickly giving Joy a hug, running down the stairs to find my father.

My father was waiting for me in Gavin Kade's old study. A chill kept up my spine as I looked at the plaque on the door that read his name. I crossed the threshold, closing the door behind me.

"Hey," I mumbled, cautiously sitting down in one of the old, brown leather chairs on the opposite side of the desk for him.

"So I did a little research." He began his voice tight but authoritative, getting down to business. "And was I assumed was correct," he looked me dead in the eyes. "The rogues did poison Harley." He affirmed and I continued to stay silent. "They hadn't attempted to poison Rosa, I did tests on her and there was no trace of poison in her blood." He looked down to a file of papers on the desk, on what I presume where his test results on Harley and Rosa.

"But with Harley..." He paused, his eyes darting anxiously over his results, almost to double check if what he typed out was even possible. "The poison had killed her Shira."

"Okay," I croak. We had already gone over this briefly the night we found her and my confusion was growing.

"She was very sick before she died. Whatever-" he choked, his voice cracking with grief. "Whatever those monsters had poisoned her with consumed her. She wasn't Harley when she died."

"W-What do you mean?" I stuttered, becoming lightheaded.

"They were trying to turn her into some kind of hybrid. A crossover between a wolf bound and various other predators. A monster."

I froze, my face feeling pail and my skin prickling with goose bumps.

A Shifter.

Someone was continuing Gavin Kades' experiments.

Someone was continuing the Wolf Fire Project.

Hello :)

I have a couple questions:)

Should I keep the title as 'The Wolf Prince' or change it to 'Wolf Fire'? (I have a plan to write a second book which will more revolve around the Wolf Prince.)

Okay, I really only had one question ;D
