ON FRIDAY at 6 p.m. arachnidite Gertrude Spine and her unborn babies, fell three stories to their deaths when the attic ceiling of the abandoned Victorian they squatted in, collapsed. Gertrude suffered the brunt of the fall, buried under the weight of her eggs. Foul play is suspected after Arachnidites across the country were outraged when crime scene photos surfaced showing Gertrude's web had been cut in several places. The well-known land developer, Hallowed Ground Estates, has come under suspicion. The company tried to purchase the old Victorian from the county earlier this year but were declined on the grounds of Habitat Law. Four other accidents have occurred on property they have tried to acquire in the last 3 months.
Despite harsh living conditions and public rejection of arachnidites as a species, Homeless Gertrude had persevered admirably until her tragic death.
Those wishing to attend a donated funeral for Gertrude and her eggs can call upon the bodies at the Monster Mortuary, 1313 Mockingbird Lane, between 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, October 8.
Employees of Hallowed Ground Estates are respectfully asked not to attend.
