I slowly open my eyes as I hear the beep of my phone, immediately realizing why it's set. Without hesitation, I unlock my phone and turn it off. I clench my eyes shut hoping that I haven't waken my parents but after a few moment of no sound, I know I haven't. I quietly get up, stuffing my pillows in my bed so if my parents happen to look in, they will think that I'm still in bed. I try to make it look as realistic as possible but sigh at the end result. It will do for now, it just needs to by me some time. I creep into the bathroom to do my hair and get changed. I suddenly remember that I need money for more food and any bills. I groan at the realization of my stupidity. I walk back into my bedroom and quickly go through my draw looking for my money I earned at my job and some birthday money I received last month. I eventually find my wallet and stuff into my brown leather bag. I quickly put on my shoes and gently open the door to walk into the living area.

I walk into the living room, walking towards the front door. Before I open the door I turn back and take the last look at the house I have lived in for 15 years almost 16 years. I turn around and put my hand on the door knob turn it and open the door. Suddenly without a moments notice, the house alarm begins to buzz and ring through my ears and begin to bring panic to my thoughts. I try to turn it off by tapping random buttons on the control panel which is just next to the door but because I'm panicking I forget the code. I can hear my parents getting out of bed as they run to where I am. Before they get a chance to see me, I do what I should have done in the first place. Run. I sprint out of the house, moving as fast as I could. I had to get out of there. But I can hear foot steps behind me. I look over my shoulder and see my parents running behind me.They're right on my tail. I am focused to get out of there. My goal is to escape them, which means I need a plan. There should be an alleyway down the street which is exactly where I am headed. From the corner of my eye, I see it coming into view. I grin at the sight and begin to move even faster until I can duck into it which I do immediately. I am about to cheer until I hear their footsteps again, this time they are even louder.

Great.

How can they even see me? It's pitch black down this alley! The only way I can see is because there is a small street light in the distance which is helping me slightly but not overly. I am beginning to tumble on tree branches. My ankle is throbbing in pain as my parents gain on me. I try to drag myself along the ground into a tunnel nearby to hide. The pain in my ankle is killing me. My eyes start welling up with tears because of the pain. I try to hop up but in the next second I'm thrown back to the ground again by my parents.

"Get off me! Let me go!" I shout, struggling to regain my footing. My parents are holding me down.

I fight against them for a few more minutes until I use all my strength to break free. I try to not let the pain get the better of me and I push off the ground and leap up into the air to get off my parents. I'm out of their hold. BANG! The next thing I know it's black.
