As my eyes slowly drift open, I see that I'm in my bedroom lying on my bed. I try get up than I encounter instant pain in my head.

"No," My mum says as she gently pushes me back down into my bed. "You need to rest."

"What happened?" I exclaim drowsily, rubbing my head slightly.

"You don't remember?" My dad asks with worry as he walks into the room, "The alarm went off and we woke up and saw you at the door when you started running. So we ran after you. You must of tripped over something because you started hopping as you ran. After we kept running we found you in the alleyway so we pushed you down to the ground. When you were on the ground you jumped up out of our reach and smashed your head on the side of the alleyway. You were knocked unconscious immediately." My dad explains as he walks over to the side of my bed.

The events immediately come flashing back to me. The plan I had to run away, why I ran away.

"What day is it?" I question, sitting up slightly as I lean on my elbows.

"Friday." He simply answers before pushing me back down into a resting position.

"Isn't it Wednesday?" My head begins to throb from all of the sudden confusion and questions.

"No it's Friday, you have been unconscious for almost two days." Mum reassures with a small sigh, her eyes filled with worry.

I frown as look at my clock and see that it's 9:27pm. Wow I was knocked out for almost two days.

I just sight before rolling over to my side, facing the opposite direction of my parents before saying "I'm tired. Could I get some sleep?"

They nod in agreement and close the door as they leave the room.

I slowly try to get up, maybe try and get some of my strength back but it's no use. The pain is too much and It's not just in my head anymore, it's my whole body.

I must have landed hard as I fell on the ground otherwise why would I be in this much agony?

Maybe because I haven't done anything but sleep for the past couple of days. Maybe it would be best if I push through the pain and use my legs for a bit. I walk to the bathroom and see that my ankle is swollen along with my wrist. My whole body is practically damaged and it's showing. I swing myself around to look in the mirror. That's when all the injuries are put aside and forgotten about because I'm shocked of what I see in the mirror. A bruised face.

I'm stunned .

The whole top right of my face is bruised. It starts from the middle of my right eyebrow and finishes in the middle of my cheek.Surprisingly my right eye isn't swollen. The pain in my head, ankle, wrist, everywhere is too much.

My eyes start to fill with tears and I fall to the floor crying and eventually, drift off to sleep.
