Chapter 11

"Don't you just love Harry Potter" My mum states while turning the TV off.

“I’m going to YAWN go to bed" I say tiredly.

“Goodnight honey" My dad says.

"Night" I reply

I pull back my quilt cover and hop into bed and sooner than I know it I’m off in a deep sleep.

I lift my heavy eyelids up and see the sun shining through my blinds on my window. I can smell pancakes cooking out in the kitchen. I slowly get myself out of bed and walk to the living area.

“Morning" My dad says happily while flipping the pancakes.

"No training this morning?" I ask

"No, we thought we would give you a day off today but don’t be expecting this to happen all the time tomorrow we will be getting back into it"

"When will breakfast be ready?"

“5 minutes"

I nod and walk away from my dad into my bathroom. I look into the mirror and see that my bruise doesn’t even look like it has gone down at all. How will I explain this to my friends at school I wonder but before I think about it anymore its cut off by my dad saying breakfast is ready from the kitchen.

I walk out to the table and take a seat. My mum enters the room from her bedroom in her pyjamas rubbing her eyes.

I grab a pancake from the plate in the middle. I spread some butter on it and sprinkle some icing sugar on top.

My parents take a seat and grab a pancake from the plate. My dad spreads some butter on his pancake and puts sugar on the top. My mum drizzles maple syrup on her pancake and tops it with strawberries and takes a big bite out of it.

I decide that I should ask how I am meant to explain this to my friends at school.

“For tomorrow at school how will I explain my bruise?" I ask my parents

They both look at each other then turn back to me.

“Just say that you banged your head on a wall when you tripped over something" My mum says grapping a pancake.

"Ok"

I grab some more pancakes along with my parents and eat them.

When we cleared the table after breakfast I said to my parents

"I have some homework and assignments to finish so I will be in my room"

"Ok" My dad replies. "If you need anything just yell out for us".

I nod in agreement.

I walk into my bedroom to brush my teeth, wash my face and get changed.

Once i was ready I pull out my school books and finish my homework and assignments.
