Chapter 20

I stumble back in disbelief stunned about what just happened. I close the door watching Kayden walk off in the distance. I walk back to the kitchen with a smirk on my face and start cleaning up.

"What's that smirk on your face?" My mum asks looking at me curiously.

"Oh nothing." I reply with a giggle.

"He kissed you didn't he." She states

I nod. She drops the tea towel she's holding and starts squealing like a mouse and gives me a big hug.

"My little girl had her first kiss!" She keeps repeating.

"Choking....... me". I say out of breath.

"Oh sorry darling."

I pick up the tea towel and hand it back to her and head outside to help my dad stack chairs.

I keep flashing back to the kiss than the incident in the garage.

Dad speaks up.

"Umm.... Vanessa about before I should explain"

I cut him off.

"Can we please not do this now "

I brush off what he just said and walk back inside. I see Grace energetically jumping up and down by my feet when I walk in. I crouch down and pick her up giving her a big hug!

Mum puts the last item away in the cupboard and dad walks closing the door behind him.

I thank them again for my beautiful presents and letting me have a party. I give them a big hug.

I walk into my newly decorated room admiring every time I walk into it. I take off my shows and walk into the bathroom. And brush my hair and put it up into a high pony I get changed into my Pyjamas.

I hop into my bed look at the clock 11:30 and go to sleep.
