~Ryder's P.O.V~
My eyes widened when I saw Layla fall to her knees, clutching her chest. I watched as blood trickled from the wound and down her chest and fingers. Jonah came up behind her and grabbed a fist full of her hair, pulling her head back. She was gasping for air as Jonah smirked down at her before placing the gun against her temple and pulling the trigger. I stood frozen as I watched Jonah carelessly toss Layla's lifeless body to the ground before wiping her blood off of his hands.
"If she really thought I would trust her over you she really deserved that. You've been here much longer than her and I couldn't stand her anyways." Jonah spoke to Jake who didn't seem affected by what just happened. "And she didn't like you so of course she'd lie." I blankly stared at Jonah until I felt Jake tug my hand causing me to quickly snap out of my trance and rapidly nod my head.
"Of course she was, I would never do that." I tried to sound convincing. Jonah walked over to me before gently stroking my cheek
"I know, that's why I killed her." I was taken by surprise when Jonah's hand wrapped around my neck and gently squeezed before he leaned in close. "But if I ever feel like you're going against me I will kill you." I pushed Jonah back.
"Don't you ever put your hands on me." I spat in disgust. "You know what, I'm leaving. I don't know who you think you are, but you will never put your hands on me again." I turned on my heels as I heard Jonah laugh
"Oh really? How are you getting home, I drove you." I slightly turned so my head was facing Jonah as I held his office door open.
"I'll take a taxi." Jonah's smirk immediately dropped as I walked out of his office, slamming the door behind me.
'You tell him.' I heard Ruby speak through the earpiece causing me to smile. 'My car is parked around the corner, so when you come out just come to us.' Ruby stated. I quickly made my way out of the building and around the corner, making sure no one was following me. I quickly approached the black car and climbed in the back seat, but the moment I did I felt someone's lips pressed against mine.
"I was so worried about you." Michael stated pulling away from the kiss and pulling me on his lap before wrapping his arms around me and nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck.
"I told you I'd be fine, you didn't have to worry." I lightly stroked his hair as he looked up at me
"I'm always going to worry about you when you're not around me. You mean so much to me and I don't want to lose you, I love you too much." I smiled as Michael spoke with so much meaning in his voice. My lips instantly slammed against his as we locked ourselves in a kiss filled with love and passion.
"Don't you dare fuck in the back seat, I just got this damn car." Ruby stated causing me to pull away from the kiss. Michael chuckled before kissing my nose.
"I love you too, Michael."
~Ashton's P.O.V~
"Daddy can I get a cookie?" My beautiful daughter was currently clutching her teddy bear to her chest as she sucked her thumb. I smiled at how adorable she was before swooping her up and carrying her into the kitchen. I placed her down on the counter before walking over to the pantry and pulling out two cookies. I handed one to Her before taking a bite out of the other.
"What do you say?" I raised an eyebrow as she munched on the cookie.
"Thank wou daddy." I chuckled at her inability to pronounce the 'y' before kissing her forehead.
"You're welcome, princess." As I watched my baby girl eat I couldn't stop thinking about the thing that's been nagging me for weeks. I know I promised that I would back away from Ryder and only see her as a friend, but I couldn't. I still care about her and want her to be my wife seeing as she's already the mother of my children.
"Go play with your brother and sisters." The moment I placed her down on the floor she took off running towards her sister's room. I smiled at how cute she was before making my way to the living room to find Luke. He was currently gulping down his beer causing me to sigh. He's been doing that ever since he found out Eliana was dead.
"What do you want?" Luke threw the empty bottle to the floor causing it to fall on top of the pile of other empty bottles.
"I need you to help me get Ryder back." Luke let out a humorless chuckle.
"You never give up, do you?" I rolled my eyes.
"Look, are you going to help me or not?" Luke raised an eyebrow before leaning forward.
"I'll help you, but I want something in return." Luke stated as he shrugged his shoulders and sat back.
"What do you want?" A sinister smirk crept onto Luke's face.
"I want you to help me kill Michael".
