A week has passed and Millie is about to be released from the hospital. Her parents came by to say a very quick goodbye before they left for China and since then she hasn't spoken much to them but that's just the same as always when they are out of the country.
"Are you ready to go home, girl?" Jessica asks with a big smile on her lips.
"More ready than ever. This place is so depressing even though the doctors and nurses are really sweet." Millie is really looking forward to be able to sleep in her own bed again.
"I got a surprise for you when we get to your house. Just saying." Jessica winks.
Millie starts laughing because Jessica looks really cute when she winks. "I'm sure you do, Jess, and I look forward to it."
The girls say goodbye and thank you to the staff and hurry out of the hospital.
"God, it's gonna be so good to be free again." Millie states with a bright smile before running off to her parents' car that she has spotted in the parking lot. She is allowed to use the car until they get back from China. It's not something they usually agree to but it was their way of giving her a get-well-soon present before leaving. She couldn't have gotten a better present. It gives her the sense of freedom she really needs at the moment.
The doctors told her that she needs to relax completely and stay away from any kind of pressure since that's one of the many things that can trigger the voices.
The drive passes by quickly. Millie spent the entire drive laughing and watching Jessica who was practically screaming the whole way out of pure excitement. Jessica loves driving more than anything and Millie is pretty sure that she's going to end up being a bus driver or something like it so she gets plaid to drive around all day.
"Why were you laughing so much?" Jessica asks when they are in the driveway and she's parking the car in the garage.
Millie's answer comes quickly "Because you love driving so badly that I'm afraid you're gonna steal the car if I'm looking away for more than two seconds and I love that you love it so much. That means you can be my chauffeur for a while.""Yes, YES! You don't even have to pay me! I would even pay the gas if I could afford it." Jessica screams.
Millie laughs so hard that she almost can't breathe and it's almost impossible for her to get out of the car. When she finally succeeds in leaving the car she collapses on the ground because she starts laughing all over again.
"Hey, if you're gonna be like this the entire night I'm just gonna take the car and leave and you won't even know what your surprise is." Jessica scolds her with a playful smile.
Millie tries to stop laughing but almost 10 minutes pass before she finally succeeds.
"Ready for your surprise?" Jessica asks with joy clear in her eyes.
Millie rises from the ground and nods excitedly.
A/N: Sorry it's SO SHORT but it was about time I updated and since I do want the story to be good I'd rather write small chapters than long crappy chapters and well I'm best with the short chapters. Sorry for the wait!!
