Millie's POV:
I have no idea how I ended up next to Peter but it's totally fine with me. I just want to stay in bed with him all day but I gotta go and see if I can find Jess so I can get some answers.
I lie in my bed, staring at the ceiling for a little while and then I prepare to get up and be hit by a wave of hangovers. When I finally get up I'm lucky. No hangovers. I pad around the house whispering "Jeeesss, Jeeessss." I find her in the kitchen making breakfast.
"Ooh, you're up already. Aren't you beat today? You had a bad fall last night." She says as soon ad she sees me.
"Good morning to you too. I don't remember a fall?" I say and look around the kitchen. I might as well start cleaning but when I look around I see that there's nothing to clean.
"You were in the garden. Peter found you. First he thought you'd had too much to drink but you didn't really drink that much. We checked your breathing and it was fine so we put you to bed and Peter stayed with you while I shut down the party and cleaned up the house." She explains with concern in her voice.
"Oh, I'm sorry Jess. I didn't mean to pass out. I was probably just overwhelmed." I answer apologetic.
"Yeah that's what the doctor said when we called to ask what to do." She give me a small smile and then adds "And please don't apologize Mills. It's not something you did."
We talk for a bit longer and then Peter joins us in the kitchen. He looks amazing and I feel like I could just eat him up. Metaphorically speaking of course.
We decide to spend the day together at the beach since the weather is amazing and it's really warm. I love the beach. There's just something about the smell of salt water and sea weed. Although the latter actually doesn't smell very good at all then it's a certain part of the charm. We drive for about 20 minutes and then we arrive. The beach is pretty crowded and it's difficult to find a parking spot. After a while somebody leaves and we park in the now empty spot. Jess made sandwiches so we sit down and enjoy them and a couple of sodas. I'm enjoying spending time on the beach. The sun makes my thoughts seem brighter and more cheery. The demons aren't gonna show up while I'm at the beach that's for sure. I wish I could just spend the entire day here.
After a couple hours a few friends join us. They are in a great mood and we make up friendly competitions and later on we play volleyball. Jess, Peter and I are on the same team. We are a great team and we only loose one match out of five.
We stay at the beach until 10 PM so for once my wish came true. Then we agree that it's been a long day and it's time to head home.
We drop Peter off at his house and he kisses me on the cheek before getting out of the car. My smile is so big that it almost hurts. Jess smiles just as much.
When we get back to my house we put on a movie and fall asleep on the couch while watching the movie. It's been a long and wonderful, fun day.
