The Truth

I could hear the loud footsteps of the boys rushing up the stairs back to Ethan's room. I wanted to scare them but didn't want to invade Ethan's privacy, I could hear them getting closer and closer as the were approaching Ethan's door, in a rush I quickly jumped behind Ethan's door and held my breath ready to scare them, Grayson walked in first "Beth?" He said, standing in the doorway, Ethan then shoved in front of him to look in his room, he turned around and his eyes caught contact with mine as I raised my finger up to my mouth for him to know not to say anything, he winked at me slightly and turned around acting as if he couldn't find me "dude she's not in here" Ethan said to Grayson "let me look" Grayson said taking a step forward into the room, as he did so I jumped out from behind the door and shouted "Boo!" Grayson jumped back in fear tripping over onto the floor whilst Ethan stood watching hysterically laughing, I started laughing too "it's not funny" Grayson said pulling himself up off the ground "it is. It is very funny" Ethan laughed, Grayson rolled his eyes and joined in laughing with us. We had soon all calmed down and were now talking to one another about what you can get up to in New Jersey so I knew all the best places to go. We were in the middle of a conversation until I heard my phone buzzing, I picked it up and looked at the glaring screen, my mum was calling "hello" I said as I answered the phone "hello sweetie, I'm home now could you come back now" she said sweetly, I sighed "why I want to stay longer" I whined, I could tell mum had rolled her eyes even though I couldn't see her "please come home" she said "where are you anyway?" She then asked before I could answer back "at Ethan's and Grayson's house" I said looking at the two boys who were having a conversation filled with laughter "well why don't you invite them round for dinner" mum said, I looked at the twins "Eth, Gray do you want to come back to mine for dinner?" I asked the boys, they exchanged looks at each other and then back to me "we would love to" Grayson said gratefully "sure mum we'll be there in a second" I said as I ended the call, the boys and I walked down the stairs to the door "are you sure you want to come back to mine you really don't have to" I said to Ethan and Grayson and they both laughed "do not want us to come?" Ethan asked smirking "of course I do" I said laughing "good because even if you didn't want us to we would've tortured you by going anyway" Grayson laughed, we opened the door and left to walk five doors down to my house.

I knocked on the door and Josh answered it "hey J" I said ruffling his messy, dark brown hair "get off" he moaned pushing my arm away from him, I just laughed, Ethan, Grayson and I all walked into my house and sat down at the dinner table, my mum gently placed our plates in front of us, it was barbecue chicken and skinny fries "thank you" Ethan said "thank you miss Lawson" Grayson said "oh please call me Rosie" my mum said as she sat down next to me, Brooke and Josh and my dad were now also sat at the table in an awkward silence. Dinner had soon finished and Ethan and Grayson had just received a text from their parents Sean and Lisa asking them to go home. We were the only ones in the room, my mum was writing more of her novel, my dad was marking books from his new school that he worked at and Brooke and Josh were in their rooms. "We have to go now Beth but we'll see you tomorrow" Ethan said smiling, he walked outside the door and waited for Grayson "Beth" Grayson whispered to me "yeah" I whispered back "I don't really know how to say this" Grayson muttered, I looked up at him and stared into his chocolate brown eyes "I like you Beth" he said blushing, my face lit up. It was true Grayson did like me, I smiled and also started blushing "and I was wondering if you would consider being my girlfriend" he asked quietly, I could barely hear him. "I like you too Gray" I whispered back to him, "and yes I don't even have to think twice about being your girlfriend" I whispered blushing, he looked at me surprised and I just smiled. "Gray hurry up mom and dad will go crazy if we're late, even though we live like 30 seconds away" Ethan called out to Grayson. Grayson looked at me and reached his arms out, he wrapped them around my waist pulling me closer to him, pulling me into a huge bearhug, I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back "I'll miss you" he whispered, I smiled to myself "I'll miss you too" I whispered back, he pulled away from our hug and we walked over to the door "you took your time" Ethan sighed "sorry Beth, I'll see you tomorrow" Ethan said smiling widely, I giggled slightly "it's okay Eth, see you tomorrow" I said back "bye Beth" Grayson said still blushing "bye Gray" I said fiddling with my fingers in embarrassment, the boys walked away closing, the door behind them "I love, you" I whispered just as the door shut separating Grayson and I.

So how are you feeling about Grayson finally asking out Beth? Sorry this was a short chapter I wasn't to sure want to write😅 The next chapter will probably all be in Grayson P.O.V so it might not be particularly long.
