The Free Period

The warning bell soon rang for first lesson, I had history with the worlds worst teacher. Great. I walked into class and looked around to see where I could sit, we annoyingly had a new seating plan which had to be boy, girl. Grayson sat at the back next to a girl called Gracie, she was really nice although she had a major crush on both Ethan and Grayson, Casey was at the front sat next to a boy called Ollie and the other students I didn't properly know as I spoke to none of them. I looked to see where I was sat and I was in the row in front of Grayson sat next to Alex, I wondered where I recognised him from when I met him this morning! I walked to my seat and sat down before the second bell rang. "Hey" Alex said to me with the widest smile I've ever seen, "Hey" I said back placing my bag underneath my desk, Alex and I didn't know each other very well as we had only just met that morning so we didn't speak much, we just did our work. We were writing an assessment about World War One and the causes of it, I already knew everything we had been learning as I did it back in England, I had already finished my assessment and handed in the paper, not too long after Grayson handed his in too. "How did you do that so quickly?" Alex asked me "I learnt about World War One in England so I already knew everything we learnt" I told Alex "Miss Lawson, stop talking and let Alex work!" Miss Warrington shouted. She called everyone by their first name except me, I said nothing back and just shrugged, she glared at me but carried on typing on her laptop. We weren't allowed our phones in class but we still had twenty minutes left and I had nothing to do so I pulled my phone and earphones out of my bag and started listening to music, I put both earphones in my ears, I slid them under my T-shirt and through the top, I had my hair tied up in a high pony tail but I pulled it out so my long dark locks fell down to my shoulders, I moved my hair about to cover up the earphones so they could not be seen, I started playing my music and was in my own world as I was quietly humming along to side to side by Ariana Grande until I was interrupted. I felt something lightly hit the back of my head, I turned around and saw Grayson pointing to a piece of scrunched up paper on the floor, I bent over trying not to reveal my earphones and picked up the piece of paper, I un scrunched it and read the writing it said look next to you Grayson had written it I looked at the students on the desk next to me then back to Grayson in confusion, he then pointed to Alex, I looked at Alex and saw him staring at something...or someone, I looked in the direction he was and saw him staring at Casey, it seems like he really likes her after this morning, I looked back at Grayson and just smiled and before I knew it the dreadful lesson had finished and I didn't get caught listening to music. Phew.

After History we had a free period to revise, now this we didn't have in England. Grayson, Casey, Alex and I all walked into the canteen and sat on the table we were on in the morning, we all sat and spoke for a while waiting for Ethan and Ella to arrive. They soon did and we were all sat at the table, Ella was next to Ethan, Grayson was next to Ella and I was next to him, opposite us was Casey sat next to Alex, I liked our friendship group. Whenever we had a free period to revise we always spent most of it just talking, we all had good grades so it wouldn't effect us if we stopped revising anyway. We all talked about random things and soon got onto the topic of my friends back in England, this always seems to pop up. We were all talking and I soon realised the whole time I had been in New Jersey my old friends hadn't messaged me once! I decided to text our group chat which hadn't been used in a while
Beth:
Hey girls, how are all of you? I miss you all lots xoxo
I sent that message to the group chat waiting for a reply, whilst doing so we all decided to make a group chat

Grayson sent that to the group chat so we were all able to message when we wanted. Free period was soon over but break time had started so we all stayed where we were and carried on talking for ages.

A couple hours later

School had thankfully flew by and we all went our separate ways but planned on meeting outside the school gates, Ethan and Grayson had invited us all back to their house. Casey and I went to our lockers and grabbed our gym bags and headed for the school gates, we met the rest of the group and we penny boarded back to the twins' house. We sat in their basement starting out on the Xbox, we played COD and Halo, we then watched The Love Guru which is a hilarious film. After playing on the Xbox and watching films we ended up sat in a circle playing truth or dare with spin the bottle. Grayson and I had to hug and Ella and Ethan had to hold hands for the rest of the game but Casey and Alex had to kiss. Of course. They both obviously liked each other so it's not like they would've cared but it was still awkward, they both slowly leaned in to each other and quickly pecked each other on the lips. Casey went bright red. And Alex kept fiddling with his fingers as if he was embarrassed. It was getting late and mum and dad would be expecting me home, Alex and Casey had already left so it was just me, Ella, Ethan and Grayson. You would've thought that it would be awkward between Ella and I since I'm dating Grayson, but since Ella and Ethan kissed we've been fine with each other which I'm very happy with. Ella and I soon had to leave so we both hugged the boys goodbye and headed home.

I arrived home and knocked on the door. I still didn't have my own key, my dad opened the door and I walked in, I put my school and gym bag down and took my penny board to my room, I sat on my bed scrolling through Twitter and then soon was called downstairs for dinner, we had hot dogs and burgers. Brooke, Josh and I were all about to leave the table until mum and dad stopped us, they said they had a surprise for us, we all sat back down in our seats and waited for the surprise.
