A little white lie

I woke up the next day in a bed that was not my own, I rubbed my eyes and looked next to me to see an empty bed with the bed sheets rolled across the bed, I sat up and looked next to me on the bedside table, I saw a note I loved last night. And I love you xxx "i loved it too" I said to myself, I smiled as I imagined Grayson saying that to me. Grayson Dolan, the name of the boy I can happily call my boyfriend. I looked to the end of the bed to see my clothes in a pile, I looked down to myself seeing that I had no clothes on, luckily the door was closed so I got out of Grayson's bed, wrapping his bed sheet around me whilst I grabbed my clothes to get changed. Once I was changed and had done my hair I grabbed my phone off the floor next to Grayson's door and started slowly walking down the stairs. I checked the time 8:40 "crap!" I cried it was a Tuesday and I had woken up late, I should've been at school by now! I ran into the kitchen bumping into a rushing Ethan "oh sorry Beth!" He said running out the room, I managed to balance myself as Ethan poked his head around the door "wait what are you doing here?" He asked, I opened my mouth to reply but instead he said "it doesn't matter, I'm gonna be late" he cried as I heard the front door slam, also rushing I ran over to Grayson "Grayson Grayson Grayson!!!" I cried as I ran into his arms "what Beth?" He asked calmly "it's a Tuesday" I stated "so" Grayson shrugged "and it's 8:40" I told him "Yeah, I know" Grayson said, as if it was the weekend "we're going to be late for school" I cried, flaying my arms out to the sides, he laughed to himself and shook his head "we're not going to school" he said poking me on the nose playfully "what do you mean?" I asked him worriedly, I didn't want to loose grades or anything "don't worry, I called in pretending to be our parents, saying that we're both off sick" Grayson told me, I sighed then smiled along with him "what shall we get up to today then" I asked, jumping up to sit on the counter he was leaning on "I have some ideas" Grayson said winking at me, making me laugh.

Grayson picked me up off the counter making me squeal, hitting him playfully on the arm as he started wrestling me on the sofa, I had no chance against him, I was wriggling underneath him trying to get away, I nearly got out of his grasp until he jokingly said "no you don't" as he started tickling me loads, I started laughing hysterically, tears were now streaming down my bright red face "no...p...please...st...stop" I blurted out laughing after each word, we were having an insane amount of fun until I heard my phone buzz, we both stopped and sat calmly, as I got up to grab my phone, I looked at it seeing loads of missed calls from my mum "I should, phone her" I said, Grayson nodded "tell her your at school though!" He added as I walked out the room, placing my phone to my ear, it started ringing until I soon heard the brutal sound of my mums worrying voice "ELIZABETH LAWSON WHY WEREN'T YOU AT HOME THIS MORNING?! YOU BETTER BE AT SCHOOL OR I WILL" but I cut her off "mum, mum, mum calm down! I'm fine, I stayed the night at Ethan's and Grayson's, and yes I am at school" I said trying to calm my mum down. I heard her take a deep breath and sigh as she softly replied back to me "oh thank god, I was worried sick about you!.... why did you stay the night at Ethan and Grayson's house?" She asked I laughed to myself "don't worry mum, we didn't do anything, I stayed in there spare bedroom" I said, winking to Grayson. Grayson walked over and wrapped his arms around my waist, I turned to him and smiled "I stayed because I had a panic attack yesterday so the boys let me stay overnight to take care of me" I said before mum would ask again "What?! Why did you have a panic attack, you should've called me!" She cried down the phone "it doesn't matter mum, I have to go back to my lesson now, I asked to go to the toilet so I could phone you" I lied, mum said goodbye and I ended the call. I sighed as I wrapped my arms around Grayson "I'm sorry you have to lie, it'll just turn out best for us if you do" Grayson said, I smiled at him weakly "it's okay, at least I get a day at home with you" I said smiling as I pushed him backwards, he tumbled back, then rolled and landed on the sofa, laughing, at me, I laughed back and ran and jumped on top of him "oof" he said as I landed on him, I laughed as I started ticking him "revenge is sweet" I laughed as he tried to push me off of him.
