Ok so this I would say is a big one. What makes your CREEPYpasta creepy? ITS IN THE DARN NAME!!! They are suppose to be from your freaking nightmares.
Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere!- ok so you don't exactly need a eerie graveyard at midnight on Halloween with fog every time you want to set the mood. But make sure you make the atmosphere perfect for your OC. Like a dark, abandoned hospital with the walls chipping and peeling. And the only thing you hear are the echos from things falling on the floor. Or the gentle creak of a door...
Ok so when you get the atmosphere just right you have to have a character that goes right with it! So make sure you use the right atmosphere for your OC. We don't want freaking clowns in a mental asylum. So here's a list of ideas for good places for characters canon or OC
Slenderman- FOREST DUH
Jeff- abandoned mental asylum
LJ- broken down circus
BEN Drowned- old gaming console (Majora's Mask cartridge preferably)
Sally- abandoned house
Ghost OC- abandoned bulding that relates to their death
Human OC- depends
Rogue human killer OC- city alleyways
Doctor OC- dark (possibly abandoned) hospital
Demon OC- also depends but mainly unholy places where lots of murders have taken place or something like that
Child OC- someplace like an abandoned schoolhouse or a park at night.
So that's all I can think of for creepiness for now so good luck!
