Cheyenne's POV:

I lay, holding back tears, soaked in my own blood, along with the blood of my friends. I can hardly move, for risk of pulling the stitches loose. I can honestly  say I had never had 'emergency surgery' with a pen knife and stitches that were really dental floss. Never before.

Shane mops up my blood from the cream carpeted floor the best he can with damp paper towels.

"Just use a wet wash cloth," I groan. He promised to go get Aspirin for me once the blood is cleaned. Apparently, it is unacceptable to go to a German drug store covered in blood. Especially when it isn't your blood . . .

"Fine," Shane sighs, both exasperated and exhausted.  As he works, the pain gradually increases, and I can't help but cry out. Next thing I know, he stands above me. "I will go get your meds, if you will answer a question for me."

    "Shoot."

"Why were you buttering toast in an elevator?" Shane's eyebrow is raised, and his lips are pulled into a peculiar curve. I do not recognize this as one of his usual expressions. Instead of answering the ridiculous question, I use the remainder of my strength and precious energy to chuck  red pillow at his head, over my shoulder. Oops. The moisture on the pillow was my blood. By a disgusted oomph and a snort, I know I hit my mark.

The door slams, and I listen deftly as Shane's foot steps slowly fade away, the echoes turning into an unbecoming silence. Then, I fall into a deep sleep. More accurately, I pass out, rejoining cursed nightmares.

"She got me killed. If it weren't for her bringing her little hunter boyfriend to Germany, his family wouldn't have come for him. I would still be alive!" Miranda hisses.

"Have no fear. The hunter scum will come for her, make her pay," VIncent grins maliciously.

"Yes. We come for the girl even at this moment," Lilith grins. "Germany cannot hide it's unicorns for us!

-------The landscape shifts into the camp fire with the jewel encrusted golden goblets from before. This is when my torments truly turned into h*ll.----------

"Send the dogs for the girl. Her mother is ours now!" LIlith chides, as they torcher my mither. I watch her being ripped from limb to limb. A dagger raked across her pale flesh . . .

--------------- I am on the side of the road, the car laid out on it's side, glass shattered and spread across the asphalt. Airbags slowly deflating.----------

"Katrina!" her name is ripped from my vocal chords unwillingly. My throat burns, as do my eyes, as they fill with salty tears. "Cahterine!" I am pained, already knowing that both my sisters are gone. Long gone, into the darkness. Far away, travelling with death now. I will always have to carry the guilt in my heart . . .

--------------------------------

    "It was just another show

There in the front row sat a girl

Young and fair with a stare through her hair

Of old fashioned curls

But through the spectacle in all of its grandeur

I watched her from the stage

She never cracked a smile

Just held her that cold warning gaze

As if to say...

Sing me another song Cinderella's gone

And she's not coming back so long

Let her go on, she's gone

Bring me another day

Then send me along my merry way

Illusions for the King

Don't work on me at all

When I saw her in that hall

Her image burned a hole in my mind

I tried so hard to find her

But from everyone to whom she was described

I was told she had long ago died

But when the crowd rose

And when the curtains closed

She was sitting there alone

And oh, I was terrified

When she said...

Sing me another song Cinderella's gone

And she's not coming back so long

Let her go on, go on

She's gone

Bring me another day

Then send me along my merry way

Illusions for the King

Don't work on me at all

Now here in my cage

I can see how we've all bought the lie

A promise of solace

That only exists in our minds

For love is just apathy

Disguised as a stranger in need

And now the ghost of that woman

Is the mother of the anger in me"

I recognize the Jokerr's Illusions for the King coming from Shane, softly. He raps, from behind me, hitting every beat and I recognize my Ipod in his right hand, the blue earbuds portruding from his ears. He turns around, seeing that I am awake, and his ears turn red, but his face brightens when I smile weakly.

"I can see you are enjoying my rap selection thouroughly," I groan as I try to roll over, so that I can lay on my back. Shane rushes to my side and helps prop me up against more pillows, so that I can sit up without rupturing the stitches and such.

"Sorry, I din't think you would mind. You were crying out and shouting about one such Catherine and a Katrina. Who are they?"

    "Why didn't you wake me?"

"You needed your rest. And, besides . . . " Shane glances at the floor, his brown eyes unable to meet mine. "You look cute in your sleep," and I raise an eyebrow. He leaborates, "Because you aren't throwing things at me or shouting," he finishes, grinning smugly, ending his claim smootly. For this, he deserves another butter knife to the ear. Alas, I am not fortunate enough to have any within reach.

Before Shane can catch the severity of my everlstingly blazing glare, he grabs a glass of water and a white bottle. He pulls an off-white pill from the bottle and hands it to me, along with the clear glass of mineral water. I tilt my head back and make a face when I swallow, which is granted with a light hearted chuckle.

Shane hands me Ipod, and I immediately pop my earbuds in and click play on Back in Black by ACDC. Instead of playing, my Ipod shuts off. I lift my eyes to Shane's, an eyebrow raised. He mouths 'what.'

   "You frickin' killed my Ipod!"

"Um . . . Oops. I guess I fogot that it hasn't been charged recently. I will go plug it in!" When I keep glaring holes into the back of Shane's head, he finishes with, "Sorry?" He states it like a question, of course.
