Shane's POV

"Where the h*ll are we going?" Cheyenne moans. I don't blame the girl for being sick of travel. Especially with her current injuries. But if Lilith is around . . .

"It is going to be a surprise!" I keep my voice thick with fake enthusiasm.

     "But I want to know!"

"Well someone is cranky today . . ." I am awarded with a sharp slap across my frozen cheeks before I can finish muttering under my breath. "Sorry!" I shall not ever repeat the curses Cheyenne uses before giggling when seeing my facial reaction.

"You should go get me some of the crappy airport food," Cheyyenne a nd begs, fake groaning. Moodswings much?

"You mean something from a vending machine?" I roll my eyes.

"A little debbie is calling my name from behind the glass casing-"

"They don't have the same kind of vending machine food here," I chuckle.

"What?! THIS IS BLASPHEMY! No one has rebelled for such things yet?!?!" Cheyenne asks, incredously. Civilians stare at us, and Cheyenne remains oblivious.

-----------------------------------------------

After sitting on the plane for about two hours in boredom, I yank out Cheyenne's ear buds and tell her that I am going to use the bathroom. Apparently, I had just woken her from a nap. Instead of scowling at me and crambing the earbuds back into her skull, Cheyenne stands next to me and puts an earbud in my ear. I feel the beat of the song and automatically know what she is doing.

"You want to cover backup half the time and I will get it the other half?" With a single nod, we have a routine figured out.

"(I'm an angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun,

An angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun..)

Get out your guns, battles begun,

are you a saint, or a sinner?

If loves a fight, than I shall die,

with my heart on a trigger.

They say before you start a war,

you better know what you're fighting for.

Well baby, you are all that I adore,

if love is what you need, a soldier I will be.

I'm an angel with a shotgun,

fighting til' the wars won,

I don't care if heaven won't take me back.

I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe.

Don't you know you're everything I have?

..and I, wanna live, not just survive, tonight.

Sometimes to win, you've got to sin,

don't mean I'm not a believer.

..and major Tom, will sing along.

Yeah, they still say I'm a dreamer.

They say before you start a war,

you better know what you're fighting for.

Well baby, you are all that I adore,

if love is what you need, a soldier I will be.

I'm an angel with a shotgun,

fighting til' the wars won,

I don't care if heaven won't take me back.

I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe.

Don't you know you're everything I have?

..and I, wanna live, not just survive, tonight.

ooooohhhhhhhh, ooooooohhhhh whoa whoa oooh whoa

I'm an angel with a shotgun..

fighting til' the wars won..

I don't care if heaven won't take me back..

I'm an angel with a shotgun,

fighting til' the wars won,

I don't care if heaven won't take me back.

I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe.

Don't you know you're everything I have?

(I'm an angel with a shotgun)

..and I, want to live, not just survive, tonight.

(Live, not just survive)

..and I'm gonna hide, hide, hide my wings tonight.

They say before you start a war,

you better know what you're fighting for.

Well baby, you are all that I adore,

if love is what you need, a soldier I will be."

We are given a small round of applause for out rendition of the Cab's Angel With a Shotgun.
