A Vampire Wonderland

Chapter four

So it has been enough days for them to say that i was all good and that i could leave the hospital. So now i am looking for a car. I need to get home.

I told the hospital to keep my families death a secret. I don't need that attention right now.

I will just take a taxi.

"Where to kid?"

"Morden"

"alright you got the cash for that?"

"Yep"

"O-kay"

So he started driving. It took an hour and a half to finally get home. I gave the driver the money and got out. I told him to drop me off at the school since it was a monday and school started 1 and a half hours ago. And i didn't want him to know where i live. For all i know Drake could also shape shift. Or there could be more out there. More vampires.

Its was break. I ran into my friend, Owl. (By the way Owl is his nickname, his real name is Nathan. Even the teachers call him Owl because he asked them to).

"Hey Cole! where have ya been?"

I cringed when he said that. But he just snickered.

"Actually i am going by Al now"

"What your middle name? why?"

"Just because"

"Hey what happened to your neck? it looks like a vampire bit you!"

crap! i forgot about the scars!

"Oh just a car accident," not a lie. "Glass went everywhere" not exactly a lie.

"Oh man you ok?"

No!

"Yeah I'm fine"

"Hows your family?"

Dead.

"Ok. They got hurt more than i did." Not a lie.

The bell went.

"Well come on AL we have math together"

We walked to math class and sat down. On the smart board up front there was a video set up. It had nothing to do with math. It was a car crash. And it took me a few minutes to realize it was MY car crash. Someone had videotaped the most horrible event in my entire life and put it on youtube.

"Good morning class. i know what you are all thinking. What is this video all about? its not math! Well we will get to doing math in a little bit."

a girl raised her hand. I don't know who she is. She never talks.

"Yes May"

Her name is May!

"Umm, mr. Burrow, how did you get this?"

"I was coming home from Winnipeg. I

Was having Christmas gathering with my family."

"Oh"

"Come on lets watch this!" it was one of the jerks in the class. I never caught his name. He was too busy punching people for us to ever get close. Thank god.

Mr. Burrow hit play. It was strange seeing it from this perspective.

All i could hear was the wind and i could almost hear the screaming. I saw Drake disappear and reappear. i saw him devour my dad. I saw him pull me out of the window. I saw us fight. I saw myself stab him. And i saw the police arrive.

One thing i don't get is, if mr. burrow can get that long of footage when he was just driving by, well, there is no way. He would have had to pull over. And he didn't even get out to help me.

The video ended.

"So class, any thoughts? questions?"

I couldn't help but put my hand up.

"Yes Cole"

No No No!

"First i am wanting to be called Al from now on"

"Umm alright Al. What was your question?"

"I thought you were just driving by when you were videotaping?"

"Yes so?"

"Well how did you get that long of a video when you were just driving by? and why didn't you get out of your car to help? why didn't you call 911?"

"I uh... I..."

"Ya thats what i thought."

"Umm... Any OTHER questions?"

"Yes mr. Burrow i have one"

"Yes, Owl"

"Did anyone die? if so, were there any survivors?"

I couldn't take it anymore. I stood up.

"Three died and two survived!"

I wish only one survived though.

I threw my chair against the wall and walked out. But i couldn't forget pushing mr. Burrow. No sir. And then i stormed out of the room.

"Quite the temper you have there, Al"

It was Drake.

"What the hell do you want?!"

"I just want to talk"

"Go to hell"

The kids in the hall cleared. It was just me and Drake.

"Why? so i could run into your family?"

"My family did not go to hell"

"Oh but i think they did"

Then i attacked him. I punched him in the face so hard that he hit the ground.

"Please no!"

"If you can't take it then why don't you just teleport somewhere far away and leave me alone forever!"

"I have told you before i can only do that at night!"

I kicked him.

"You killed my family!"

He got up.

"They killed themselves. I could have teleported out of the way"

"You ate my father!"

"And he was delicious"

I hated him so much. All of a sudden he went to go punch me. But his fist just went straight through me.

"What the-"

I went to go punch him and it worked. What was going on?"

"I will be back for your blood Al, don't you forget it!"

"I will bring my crowbar!"

And then he ran out.

I am guessing the school was on lockdown since Drake was here because there was an announcement saying it was all clear. And i am also guessing that people were watching me fight Drake because people were rushing out of their classrooms and running to my side. And then Owl got to my side.

"Dude who was that?"

"his name is Drake"

"That was so epic of you bro!"

"Thanks"

"What did you mean by you killed my family though? Al is everything alright?"

"Come to my house after school."

"Ok but why-"

I just walked away. Out of the school
