"When will you move this hair and show that beautiful face of yours?" the guy, who turned out to be Jay, spoke softly as he brushed the black bangs off Liza's face.
"Don't you learn RITA" he added with a nostalgic glints.
Jay's aura felt weird as he looked at Liza. He looked honest, and soft!I just stood in my place silently recalling Liza's words, and contemplating whether I should interfere or not.
"Jay ...Jay please snap out of it" Liza called for him in an usually emotional tone, i never heard her speak with.
What's going on here!
"This is not you Jay, and" I saw Liza swallow" I'm not RITA" she pleaded with a clipped voice.
For God's sake! What is this?
"What?? I didn't hear well Rita" Jayson asked as he stepped closer to her, and she obviously flinched, but didn't try to push him away!
Logic bid me goodbye by then, and I was reaching my limit.
That girl definitely wouldn't be happy with what am about to do, but I'll do it anyway!
I won't watch another insipid act mustered by that idiot!"Don't go Rita. Come clo.. " Jay started stretching his hand to caress her cheek , but was cut with my voice.
"What are you doing here?" I asked in a strong, fierce voice as I approached them.
"You?" Jay asked, surprised.
"Didn't you hear me???" I repeated my question through gritted teeth.
"What
are
you
doing?"
I asked taking a step forward with each word."No..n.. nothing" Jay stuttered confusion covering his features, as he pulled away.
I believe my threat pulled some sense into him.
His eyes then flickered everywhere confusedly.
He looked at Liza apologetically then nodded at me, after which he quickly left.Silence dominated for a while with neither of us speaking.
She stood there with her back still facing me."And here comes the unneeded hero" started Liza, a while later in an obviously fake angry tone.
"May I ask wh.."
"No" she snapped rapidly, cutting my words mid-sentence.
"No ..you are never allowed to ask" she confirmed, strongly shaking her head which was bowed, letting her hair efficiently hide her face.
"I don't think I'm up for the report now" waving me off she added "I'm going home"."Sure" I answered smoothly. "I'll walk you home"
"No thanks" Reflexively, she refused.
"That wasn't a question by the way" I told her, raising an eyebrow.
"I can handle myself" she defended harshly, still facing the ground.
"Are you kidding? Look at yourself! , there's no way I could leave a girl like this" I told her meaning it.
Laze was a wreck! Something I'm not used to.
She was always the crowing devilish one, but this one time made the time I've known her for, look like a lie!She was never like this!
"Okay, whatever" she sighed, her voice even lower.
*
*We walked silently, with my steps on her track.
Her shoulders sagged a little and she looked unusually depressed.
She was always down, but something was definitely added to her depressing factors list, today.
