Gravel crunched as the wheels ground to a stop. She winced as the glare on the car next to her burned her eyes.
"Calum?" She seemed to whisper, but it wasn't her saying it. The voice in her head seemed to scream it out. The boy lifted his head, blinking sleep out of his eyes. They both just stood there, staring at each other. His eyes travelled to the black tattoo on her wrist. Suddenly, the life seemed to drain out of his face, like he had seen a ghost.
"I'm going to die aren't I" He whispered, avoiding any contact with her eyes. Slowly, she nodded. Sadness seemed to hang over the two, taking away any previous words they wanted to say.
She heard his car door click as it opened, revealing a tall boy.
