A voice seemed to yell in her head, one minute.
"One minute."
She repeated, only noticing what she said once it escaped her mouth. Fear seemed to take hold of the boy, paralyzing him where he stood.
"Car accident."
Lifting her head up to face him, he didn't move.
"You died in a car accident."
His position softened a bit, the initial fear in his eyes taken over by gloom.
They both watched as a dark, blue car passed the two of them.
The final car from the accident passed them both, continuing its daily route.
The boy turned to her, happiness swelling in his eyes.
"You saved me," he whispered, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you."
