A heavy silence falls between them. The tension so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Rue quickly backtrack her decision after seeing Cade expression.

"Don't get me wrong." She squeak then continue to speak after clearing her throat.

"It's not that I don't like you. Quite the opposite actually. But...don't you think we're moving too fast? I don't want what we are having right now, become temporary. Why wasting time on something that eventually gone? Isn't it better to focus on wha--" Rue cut off when Cade cackled loudly making her confused.

"Oh my god! You should've seen your face! Ha-ha. Gotcha! It's just a joke!" Cade chuckled awkwardly at his poor attempt to cover his pride, not knowing that totally hurting the girl.

"Oh. Wow.... You know what, I'm really tired and--"

"Hey, it's just an innocent joke! Don't you know how to take a joke? Jeez, chill. I'll say I like you back if that will make you feel better."

"Twist the knife deeper, will ya? I know how to take a joke but I never thought asking me to be your girlfriend is some sort of what you so called a 'joke'. You don't just asked that away without meaning it!" She say quite piss off.

"Look, why are you taking this so seriously? Don't you see how different we are? People like me will never be with people like yo--" Before Cade could finish, Rue hand collided with his cheek.

"Tell me Cade, what actually is people like me? You are the one who talk to me first, you are the one who want to keep me company and you are the one who bring me to this date. Honestly, I don't know if this is even a date to you. But your action tell me otherwise." She finished then walk away before Cade saw the tears that start to fall.

Rue keep walking without looking back. She never feel so embarassed and stupid in her whole life. But if there is a guy who take you out on a beautiful garden house, eating fresh strawberries, watching sunset and give you a beautiful bouquet of various flowers, you'd be lying if you say you not falling for them. After what feel like eternity, she finally come to a road instead of a small pathway. She walk a bit until she arrive to a bus stop. Cursing herself for feeling dissapointed because in hope Cade will go after her.

Feeling fresh from the shower that Rue just taken before she collapse on her comfy bed. She stop crying in the shower but it look like her eyes having a broken faucet. What Cade did to her is far from what she expected but that doesn't meant it is not bugging her.

"I don't care!" She shouted in the empty house. "Just go! Whatever! Everybody leave eventually!"

"I don't care... I don't, I really don't" She whisper while rocking back and forth.

Silences filled the air but louder for her to bear making her thought running wild and it's confined her. She feel the room closing in around her. It's suddenly too hot for her making she gasping for air.

"No! Stop fighting!" The 8 years old girl pleaded while holding onto her plush teddy but it was useless.

"LET ME GO!" Her mother voices roars making the little girl flinch away.

"Don't you dare to take one step out of this house. STOP! I'm talking to you! If you leave right now YOU ARE NOT MY WIFE ANYMORE!" Her father voice rose an octave higher, his hand raised above the air.
